Romantic Night away

Hi Guys

Its my 8th wedding anniversary in august and I would like to take my wife to the midlands meander (not set in stone, if there is another place in KZN that i can check out thats also romantic that is fine too) that i could for a night getaway from the kids, its during the week and would like some recomendations for a place thats really romantic, somewhere where the hotel/lodge/apartment owners or management would be helpful enough in setting up something special for us when we arrive.

I was leaning towards the meander because its quiet and serene, country side, i dont want to go anywhere busy or built up.

Have you calculated the weekend in August as a 'safe' weekend when the wife isn't on the rags that weekend?
Otherwise you might want to celebrate the weekend before or the weekend after
