Small Necro of nearly 3 years... Does anyone actually use 22seven and if so, doesn't it seem super dodge?

It seems to be a thing in South Africa though. These budget apps ask for your online banking login/password and I assume just grab all the info from that but they could do so much more with that access... How do we not have Read only APIs for all this stuff :/

FNB does have read-only profiles...

Our programmable bank accounts are in private beta, and we’re signing up hand-selected customers in small batches.

Still underpinned by SBSA?
From the link :

Root programmable cards and accounts are powered by The Standard Bank of South Africa Ltd.
Root is an Authorised Financial Services provider.

Hasn't this been in beta for years? Do you have a planned go live date somewhere on the site that you can link to?

Having dealt with the banks before I'm surprised they even managed to get to the point where they were confident enough to do a media release.
