Hi everyone.

I'm hoping to apply an after-market ROM on my Samsung Galaxy S2, since Samsung is taking ages to release an updated ROM for this model.

Can anyone shed some light on this process - the amount of information on the Internet is vast, so a tried-and-tested approach would be great. First though: the device is running the official Samsung 4.0.3 ROM, and is not routed.

Please feel free to recommend your routing method, and choice of ROM as well why. I would appreciate the ROM as stock as possible, in other words with the bade minimum bloatware and trash pre-installed.

Care to elaborate?

Enough guides to flash to the official jb release, googling xxlsj will get you on the right path for the release you want. Used rootappdelete to remove any junkware once rooted

Driving now so can't elaborate too much

Like PsyWulf said, the S2 is very, very well documented. Pick the rom you want to install and more than likely they will have a guide either on YouTube or elsewhere on how to root and install the rom. Head on over to the XDA forums and read up.
