Rooting Galaxy S2

Hay guys I've recently been considering rooting my Galaxy S2 so that I can play Tegra games via Chainfire3D. I just want to know what is the safest way of doing this and what the chances are of bricking my phone. I also thought that while I was at it I could flash it with an ICS rom. What is the best ROM for ICS, and also all other above questions count for this too. Thanks for any assistance.
