Wow, a keylogger. Very high tech. What is this? 1997?
 
It's only right that money that was stolen from motorists is stolen from the RTMC. Karma is a bitch.
 
So after stealing R8mil, they only have to pay R2k to get released?

There is absolutely no way to know that for sure with our corrupt law enforcement agencies. Until we live in a free and fair society you have to assume that every fine issued is theft.

You'd think it would take more than just a password to authorize transfer of funds from these accounts - lots of missing checks and balances here. A few municipalities have had money taken this way in the recent past with the involvement of rogue IT people.

As far as I understand social engineering is still the most used method in cyber crime, and that have been around long before technology.
 
Please do a follow-up article and tell us how they got caught. I'm surprised not one of them bought property or cars. If they're smart, those airline flights were probably to Switzerland.
