What a disorganised showing from the Boks ..... So much aimless kicking.

And as for that bloody noise, really wish they would stop/ban those things once and for all

I was there. I loved the atmosphere and the din. One of the best games I've been to in ages.

I was at the game yesterday with a party of 32. Vibe was amazing and the game opened up nicely in the 2nd half.

Sadly, 4 of our party of 32 had their phones pick pocketed, me being one of them.

Ouch. Not lekker.

Best seat in the house.

You must've been just behind me then. Wow. :D

Great pic of the stadium. Love it. Great memories. :)

Lots of work to do before heading down under. Maybe not so bad to get a tough game like this. Too many basic errors, but the Pumas played with passion. Big credit to the tenacity and for not giving up.

Pienaar should have been taken off and so too the ref, Too many forward passes not picked up. The Boks went in with a bad attitude after last week and they nearly got their @sses kicked, in fact the Pumas lost the game the Boks never won it.

However after this shocker it's a good thing to bring them back to earth.

Yes, there was a lot of pressure as a result of Argentina's forward being way more aggressive than ours. Did you see Juandre Kruger get put on his ass by the 2 locks? Our players had no real backup from support runners to secure the ball. Alberts breaks, Etzebeth and Kruger aren't there in time to clean out properly.
Yes, their forwards were all over us playing with an incredible amount of pace and urgency. Our forwards (and loose forwards) scrambled on the back foot in most cases.

I think Argentina played a lot better than last week, but we also just didn't assert ourselves properly. It's an age old problem for SA. If the game isn't going our way we struggle to get back into it properly and get on top.
Argentina played way better than last week like it wasn't the same team. Having said that, after last weeks monumental win the Boks should've expected a massive onslaught from these guys after that humiliation and having home advantage this time. We were simply unprepared and ignorant.

I don't know if you watched this morning's game between NZ and Aus, but the Wallabies had the momentum early on and looked very solid, but the All Blacks remained calm, and orchestrated their fight back very methodically. They backed themselves, trusted each player to do what they had to do and it paid off.
Solid rugby from the Kiwi's - as expected. I have the highest admiration for that small country. The way that they know there'll be a player behind you supporting is fantastic, they pass behind and someone will be there to catch. Also the angles from which these guys run , the depth in attacking etc.

Anoter thing; what is it with these Bok scrum halves and their double/triple steps before getting the ball away from 2nd phase ball? stupid

In-Zane Meyer opts for Kirchner

Cape Town - Zane Kirchner is likely to start at fullback for the Springboks in their Rugby Championship Test against Australia in Brisbane on Saturday.

Bok coach Heyneke Meyer on Monday said he will make changes as he needed to freshen up his starting XV to help them cope with a taxing travel schedule.

Kirchner, no fan favourite of the SA public, has not played for the Boks since the Test against England at Twickenham last November, but according to the SA Rugbymag website, he is likely to line up in the No 15 jersey at the Suncorp Stadium.

Willie le Roux will shift to the wing, with Bjorn Basson dropping to the bench.

In other expected changes, Bismarck du Plessis is set to replace Adriaan Strauss at hooker, and Flip van der Merwe also likely to replace Juandré Kruger at lock.

The Springbok team is expected to be named early on Wednesday morning (SA time), with kick-off on Saturday at 12:05.

*Sigh* :(

Glad Le Roux's still on the field, I guess. Maybe Meyer's afraid of a blowback performance from the Aussies, and thus going for a more conservative approach?

Going conservative against the Aussies is going to get us pomped and I have a feeling we're gonna get klapped this weekend. We need to work through the phases, get quick ball (which is unlikely with Ruan Pienaar) and run the s**t outta them just like they're most likely planning to do to us.

Don't even get me started on HM and his constant obsession with Nik-Naks.

I doubt if Zane's inclusion will be the game changer as his defense is steady and he is a capable (not a brilliant in any way) fullback. Also I do not think HM has an obsession with him else he would have had him play in the first two Rugby champ games.

I would have preferred le Roux myself, but then again I am not paid a lot of money to coach an international team, and I also do not analyse hours and hours of game play to make gather info on every player's strengths and weaknesses.

Aussie met baie

I hope this is not the case.

If we get frontfoot ball and we boss the Aussies around in the scrum and line outs as well as protecting the ball at the breakdowns, I am sure we will beat them regardless of who is filling the no. 15 jersey.

Even with braindead at fullback, I still reckon the Bokke will just take the game

Boks to win it.... Just.

Kirchner is not that bad. Yes he is unimaginative but he is pretty solid on defence and under the highball. He also has an accurate boot.

I would have loved to see Lambie there. I guess HM does not want to play him there as he is now the second choice and only real other viable option at Flyhalf, after Steyn.

I think if the forwards control the game Zane and Steyn will make sure we play rugby in the right half of the field. I think the Boks will take it with 7 or less.
