Seems Joe is starting in Friday nights fixture, perhaps Loffie reads myadsl. He is such a fantastic talent, Joe, hope he has a good game. I reckon Pierre, Joe at 8 at Schalk, when all fit and at the height of their powers, would be the most potent loose trio ever, in the world, in history... But alas we may never see it...

Ek is sommer nou totaal afgesit.

Look the Blues were freakish, every bounce of the ball went their way and they played the perfect game against an under strength Lions side. Had Jacque, Andre and Ernst been playing then perhaps it wouldn't have been such a severe hiding.

Question is can this young side recover by tomorrow night and I would suggest they can.

I'll put my cock on a block and predict a 4pt victory for the Lions against the Force tomorrow night...

If the Lions play the Blues next time, i'm sure it won't be such a hiding again, but it won't be a win for the lions.
I can just take my hat off to the Blues, as painfull as it was to see the lions getting beaten by such a margin, as beautiful was it to watch how the Blues played such fantastic rugby.

Agreed!!! And at Ellis Park to boot!!! Not too many teams win at the Park whether it be against the Boks or a under strength Lions XV...

I am a stormers fan but also support the Lions as long as they are not playing us. What Eloff has done with these youngsters is amazing. Most other coaches rely on buying stars to boost there teams chances, Eloff seems to make stars out of players. The only player I am not keen on is Earl Rose. He was a good schools player but does not seem to have taken the step up to the big time.Average age of 22! I enjoy watching them play.We need them to win tonight.

My second team would the Stormers/Province to be honest. :D
However, I've never rated Earl Rose. His play is awfull.
Pity about the injuries. However, Eloff is doing well considering.

Eish... not a great game... Hell we SA teams are struggling some what. Another bad call from the ref costs the home team a possible victory... Last week the Cheetahs too where unlucky to lose the game in the dying moments after a forward pass went unnoticed... duck man!!!

Under Loffie's coaching one problem has always been evident and nothing has been done about it in two years ... poor handling. The Lions create great try scoring opportunities but one knows by now the knock-on is imminent. This knock-on is becoming Loffie's and his Lions' trade mark.

Poor coaching indeed.
It's no use you try to only use young players on the big stage. Sure, they will be very good in the future, but now is what counts. I can't believe that the lions are doing so badly. :(
