Congrats to all the Lions fans.

I backed the WP on superbru but I am very happy the Lions won.

I would love to go to the final, but I hear that the cost might be prohibitively expensive. Anyone know the prices?

Please be patient. It's been 9 years since they last had to run such a logistic. Prices will probably be out later this morning.

I wish with all my heart the Lions win this coming weekend.

I have however bet R 250 on the Sharks to win the Currie Cup. If the Lions pull this off, it will be the best R 250 loss ever :)

The MTN Golden Lions, after a nail-biting semi-final match against DHL Western Province, have qualified for the 2011 Absa Currie Cup Final which will take place at Coca-Cola Park on Saturday, 29 October 2011. This will be the first home final the Lions have played in since 2002 and the first final they’ve competed in since 2007.

Tickets for Season Ticket and Half Year Ticket holders will go on sale on Monday, 24 October 2011 and tickets will cost just R100.00 each. These tickets can only be purchased from the Coca-Cola Park Ticket Office up until 4pm on Tuesday, 25 October.

Prices for the various areas in the stadium have been announced and are:

West Lower: R250.00
West Upper: R200.00
East Lower: R200.00
East Upper: R175.00
East Upper Corners: R100.00
North Lower: R150.00
South Lower: R150.00
North Upper: R100.00
Scholars behind the poles (North and South Lower): R50.00
Family Ticket (East Lower): R200.00 (includes two adult and two children tickets)

Tickets will go on sale to the public on Monday, 24 October from the Coca-Cola Park Ticket Office and from 12pm from Computicket. Scholar and Family Tickets are limited and expected to sell out within hours, so those who wish to purchase tickets will need to act fast.

Wicount is running a special where you can purchase tickets on the North Upper Stand for just R50. Vouchers need to be redeemed from the Coca-Cola Park Ticket Office before 4pm on Friday, 28 October 2011. Visit www.wicount.co.za for more information.

Parking tickets for the final are available from Computicket and the Coca-Cola Park Ticket Office and start at R100.00 each. There are various parking areas situated around the stadium.

Park & Ride will be running from Cresta and East Rand Mall shopping centres and tickets will cost R60.00 per person.

Tickets are available through Computicket. There is a possibility of additional Park & Rides being added, but these will be confirmed shortly. Keen an eye on our website (www.lionsrugby.co.za) and our Facebook page (Golden Lions) for updates and additional information.

The match will kick off at 5:30pm and two exciting matches will be played before the main game kicks off. At 12:30pm, watch the U/19 MTN Golden Lions take on the Blue Bulls in the U/19 Absa Currie Cup Final, and at 2:30pm the U/21 Bulls and Sharks will take to the field for the U/21 Absa Currie Cup Final. The gates will open at 11am.

We look forward to seeing you at Coca-Cola Park in the final battle of the 2011 Absa Currie Cup.

Definitely more red here today. My black is a wee bit outnumbered. But these two... :wtf:

Unbelievable. Mitchell is showing people what a real coach can do with our talent. Makes you wonder what we could achieve if we had better coaches throughout the country.

Outstanding LIONS!! Well done!!

After two years of being ridiculed for wearing the red & white, it feels good to have the Lions team live up to the potential many of us knew they always had.

I was fence-sitting for many years. When I finally decided to commit, I looked for a team that was struggling, but trying to play positive rugby. The Lions ticked all boxes. I just didn't want to be yet another Bulls supporter. It's easy to support winners, but it's the up and coming teams that need the support the most.

No worries brother... Spent most of the last ten years saying: "Well I'm really a Lions man but I'm shouting for the Bulls 'cos they're also from the Vaal." Not today Woody, not today. :D
