Gracious in defeat... well played Golden Lions on an excellent Currie Cup campaign.

Deserved winners.

My team were well and truly reamed today!!!!

It's not all bad news... Head over to SS3 'cos the red team you do like is 2-0 up at West Brom. ;)

What a marvellous game! Twelve year drought finally broken. Huge thanks to coach Mitchell. So nice to say I'm a Lions supporter and not have to endure the derision. We creamed the Boks today!

The sharks are the worst team i have seen in a long time. Wow they were shocking.

Bring in the lions team to replace all the springboks.

Two games the lions nail the springbok teams. What a horrid final, i wish we had a team who could have given us a go.

Can someone explain something to me. WTF is the point of the TMO if it's not used?

I saw two possible dodgy calls, the first was the lions drop kick that never seemed to hit the floor and OMG the lines man and ref need glasses. How did they award that try? I guess they felt sorry for the sharkies who sucked so bad :D.

I cannot believe that try was awarded without the aid of the tmo.

TMO not allowed to be consulted for anything before the line. Can only be consulted for something that forms part of the action that scored the try.

Well the knock on was the main reason it got scored, then they must change the bloody rules because it seems they are using refs and linesman that are blind or have very poor eyesight :D. Either way it could have changed the game, idiots. That linesman was looking right at the incident and i could see it on tv so he must have seen it.

It didn't matter much because the sharks sucked so bad

.... yes that midfield is shyte but they were the other team in a final, hardly a 'shocking' team

.... they played together all season, had no WC disruptions. Boks were tired, should never have been used imo.

...... pvr showed it was off a white hand. Regardless, they need more tv influence.

No dude the sharks are really bad, to get nailed so badly by a team without any stars, well springbok stars would worry me.

Yea i am not disputing it could have gone either way but that kind of thing can decide a match, it didn't matter much because the lions destroyed them but use the technology. I am saying use it for everything but incidents like that should get cleared up right then and there not after the game when that decision cost someone the game. You can be sure it would have been a hot topic had they lost.

The big diffs: the Lions were a team. Shows what a good coach can do. Dare we dream a Super15 win? Yes!

LOL! Arthur, we shouldn't put that pressure on the team now ... let's rather aim for top 8 finish on 2012 and then go for top 4 and a final in 2013. I've always said that 2013 is the year to watch the Lions. We need more depth for the S15. In too many positions we short a good enough backup. Those Bok players that said no to a move to the Lions earlier this year will hopefully not demand a hearing with our management now that they've seen us winning. We prefer players wanting to play for us.

Well to the Lions and fans. Well and truly outplayed the Sharks.

And what a festive final. I didn't have much to shout about, but was good to see them break the drought and good to see the celebrations first hand.

Ellis Park has its challenges, but when it is full and the local team is winning it is the best stadium in the world to be in.

You may find we can attract some big name players now, not that we need them but it would be nice to see our team stay together and not sell out for money.

S15 will be awesome, it is going to be so nice watching them and not wondering how much they will lose by :D.
