Ruijie isnt kaput

I tested a load of their equipment last year, the no-local / cloud-only controller design was a hard no.

That's why I'll stick with Ubiquiti - if/when some critical vulnerability is discovered I'm pretty confident they'd respond very quickly.

Hmm I have their 16 port POE switch. Never signed up for the cloud service and no openwrt support. So doesn't seem to affect you if you don't use the cloud service?

So same as Ruijie then?
Following responsible disclosure, all the identified shortcomings have been fixed by the Chinese company in the cloud and no user action is required.

never heard of them until I signed up with Atomic ... this was the brand of the free router they sent me

so far so good, but even finding firmware updates has been such a ball ache I haven't needed to worry much about bricking it

Deployed over 100, no issues thus far. even work with their R&D guys. they fixed it pretty quick. Ubiquity on the other hand... report... wait wait wait... do you pay for UISP cloud? no wait wait wait... deply oh wait broken patch wait 6 months... Happy to see they fixed the flaw once discovered. Cudy their stuff is garbage better off flashing it with wrt. I remember seeing one of their routers you can flash to wrt I just can't at the moment remember wich one it was for ruijie
