WOW that will be aswome! wen is this being implemented?

really! where did u hear about his? and when is this going to be implemented?

It's 'imminent'.

It's a seriously unconfirmed rumour, as far as a I know. Not completely outlandish, however... The combination of competition in the market and the fact that we need real broadband by 2010 might well make it something of a reality fairly soon.

They won't "do away with* caps, though. It's just that we'll have 20GB and 30GB instead of 2GB, and real uncapped will be cheaper.

I won't hold my breath for that... This is Africa, we rely on tourism (cough begging cough). In 2010 there will be a lot of rich international tourists, why make broadband cheaper? They are going to come here for the soccer, paying a bit more for broadband would be the least of their concerns. Remember, we do have broadband, its just unaffordible to the locals.

Err, I was joking.

Threads with "rumours" on pricing/capping etc, are 100% pointless unless there is substantial evidence to backup the claim.

It doesn't reflect too well on the company(s) concerned either, if the rumour is indeed just that, a rumour.

Yeah well rumours can be true ;)

It would be a smart thing to have a large or should I say a standard bandwidth cap specially 4 the whole 2010 speech

Just imagine I wouldn't have 2 check my frikken usage like every day

No no come back down to earth it will neva happen :p

I have asked around at a few ISP's and one knows anything about 10gb for R319.00
If you are going to start a rumour then please make sure that you can supply proof. Otherwise you just make us all happy for nothing :(

hmm, so i pay R516 for my lovely "4mbit" and i get a 10gig account for R300 at 512... Maybe i downgrade to 512 and get the 10gig account...

Wonder what they call it, "IS news server is screwed so local only accounts are useless so go signup with Easynews" special
