Kinda beginning to like that site

What's your thoughts on this one, hear it's f2p? This is my next my big download in the next few days. Gotta love local cap and route sentry.

It's either this or Tabula Rasa which is heading towards the MMORPG graveyard soon. Wanna check it out before it dies.

Anyways. Runes of Magic, what you think. From a local perspective.

I'm definitely impressed with it. It isn't perfect, but that's because it's still in beta. And I'm happy investing time into it as they won't delete our characters after beta. The highest quality free to play out there in my opinion.

I played it for a few hours, I guess I had higher expectations of the game. If it was released 5 yrs ago then yes it would be a good game but by todays commercial MMO standards it doesnt come close.

A lot of people say its a free wow clone, which actually wouldnt have been a bad thing for this game at least. But it doesnt even come close to wow by a long chalk.

Personally i'm prepared to put some money into a commercial MMO and get a good well polished game experience. Also dont forget that it does have a cash shop - and i'm pretty sure you would end up paying something to play at least to get a good all round experience.

How does it not come close to WoW? By that I mean exactly what is lacking?

I can understand your frustrations with it lacking polish, but one must understand that it is still in beta. They release a patch at least once a week. This morning they released another patch actually. They're quickly fixing up any bugs, translation areas and inbalances.

The cash shop operates differently to other games in that you can sell in-game items for cash shop Diamonds. That way you don't have to pay a cent if you *need* something from the cash shop. However, the cash shop is almost purely cosmetic. It sells things such as permanent mounts (as opposed to rented mounts) and extra bag space.

I used reget deluxe (Registered version). Been using it for years with no problems.
So, you're saying that gaming.do.co.za 's version is fine.

I quite like it. Seems like a fun game although I havent played for many lv yet. As a f2p I cannot see to many ppl complaining about it in this the open beta stage.

I used bitcomet for my download since it has a build in integrity check or whatever it's called. It's a way to make sure that the download doesn't corrupt at all. Don't think reget has this feature though...

Ok i started playing last night.

Firstly the gfx looks awesome, game play is smooth.

There is allot of kill this gather this missions, but hopefully this will change the more you progress throughout the game.

For a f2p this game has allot of hope
