I'm on 87% of space on my Gmail (which is 14.81GB), however do not have the time to sift through my mailbox to bring down the size.

Besides buying extra storage, are there any other alternatives to get more space?

The biggest issue is that Gmail does not have the option to sort mails according to size (as this will resolve the issue).

I'm sure any decent mail app can sort by size?

Outlook does:

Of course it does...that's what the search feature is for.

Well technically it can't sort by size, but this should get you 99% there.

Code:
larger:5MB older:1YR
Modify accordingly and then you are sorted.

So setup Outlook to pull down your whole gmail mailbox and sort it that way, find the BIG ones on outlook and find them on gmail and delete them.

i'm on 2% and i have alot of mails saved - most are all sent items, anything that's usefull goes into folders - the rest is deleted, no mail is deleted from sent items...

or just start deleting the old stuff?

Backup to PC in Outlook and purge.

Defeats the purpose of having a mailbox that is accessible anywhere. My gmail inbox dates all the way back to when gmail was first introduced (2004 - a good year!), and it's become like a living archive of every important interaction I've ever had. Admittedly it does make me sweat if I ever think of it getting hacked, lol

Well, keep it all and pay for more storage, can't have both :whistling:

I don't want my name and surname at gmail. Too much effort to spell and too long also.
