Agreed. Almost every cellphone these days has a camera of some sort ...

Very true, but one must factor in reaction, first is amazement at what one see's, then comes the conscious thought to take a photo before it dissapears, then comes finding the right button to snap the shot, holding a camera that has poor quality, in one hand that is normally outstretched to see the screen, which causes shaking, which causes an object further away to blur and you are left with a "blob" on the screen, a "speck of dust on the camera lens", in other words no photographic evidence whatsoever.

ok ... but this thing was moving at 25km/h - that gives you lots of time to recover, take out your phone - and every camera phone I've ever had has had one button camera activation - and take the pic.

Yes, the quality will most likely be crap - but I'd expect millions of crappy quality photos to flood the internet if there is a broad daylight sighting of a UFO. Or mysteriously flying cowpat :p

These UFOs should start flying over Japan and we would have a
load of high quality photos from those ninja photographers.

Siberian city is probably a depopulated Siberian town - where 3 of the remaining 11 residents, saw something the media later translated as an UFO, after consuming 8L of vodka. Yeah, these reports, sheesh....
