Of what? The Russians?
.
Pinball Wizard
The Who

Ever since I was a young boy
I've played the silver ball
From Soho down to Brighton
I must have played them all
But I ain't seen nothing like him
In any amusement hall
That deaf dumb and blind kid
Sure plays a mean pin ball!
He stands like a statue,
Becomes part of the machine
Feeling all the bumpers
Always playing clean
He plays by intuition,
The digit counters fall
That deaf dumb and blind kid
Sure plays a mean pin ball!
He's a pin ball wizard
There has got to be a twist
A pin ball wizard,
S'got such a supple wrist
How do you think he does it? I don't know!
What makes him so good?
He ain't got no distractions
Can't hear those buzzers and bells
Don't see lights a flashin'
Plays by sense of smell
Always gets a replay
Never seen him fall
That deaf…
I thought I was
The Bally table king
But I just handed
My pin ball crown to him
Even on my favorite table
He can beat my best
His disciples lead him in
And he just does the rest
He's got crazy flipper fingers
Never seen him fall
That deaf dumb and blind kind
Sure plays a mean pin ball!

The British would be driven to sea by Russians (Crimean War reference, only Mr Mhlakaza would have known at that time), where they came from. Nongqawuse relayed the vision to her uncle, who was none other than - Mr Wilhem-Goliath or Mhlakaza, one time guide, translator, porter and fire-builder to Mr Merriman.

Reclaiming Nongqawuse | of prophesy and colonial deceit

An interesting story
WHAT was happening in the World in the 1850's ?

A self-fulfilling prophecy ?

We host the Americans every now and then
Ja. It is just funny to me that the Russians and the Americans bring their weapons and show it of as in a diplomatic mission.

But I certainly like how we are treating it as a show. We should arrange public tours to see the planes or boats that the Americans normally bring.

nah the Rockwell B-1 Lancer is a way superior piece of engineering.

Sure but it's still a closer comparison being supersonic and swing wing than the subsonic B52 and B2.

Although granted the B1 no longer serves as a nuclear bomber

From the article: "two Tupolev Tu-160 bombers were being sent to South Africa on a first-ever flight to develop bilateral military cooperation."

Now what on earth could that be? Why would SA Airforce need to train alongside a Russian bomber? What scenario would that cover? By the way to the guys here in the know: do we even have bombers in our airforce?

Certainly not in a strategic sense. Both Gripens and Hawks are capable of a secondary close support tactical role. So pretty much nothing really.

Not any more.

Last specialised bombers we had were the Canberra (bomber) and Buccaneer (close air-support/bomber), both retired in 1991.

After that the Cheetah and now the Gripen and Hawk can be outfitted to fulfill the ground-attack/close air-support roles.
