Lots of Russians and Russian money in Cyprus, probably also not wanting to support the country which is currently being helped by Turkey.
100%

In Cyprus, Russian connections are everywhere.

They show up in economic figures. Hundreds of thousands of Russian tourists come through each year — no small number in a nation of just 1.2 million. Over €100 billion in investments came from Russia in 2020 alone — roughly a quarter of all foreign investments coming into Cyprus.

Other connections are more cultural — and questionable. The Mediterranean island has long served as a banking home for the gray fortunes of Russian investors, from arms dealers to gambling firms and pornographic websites. In the early 1990s, post-Soviet figures like Slobodan Milošević traveled to the island with cash-filled suitcases.

I stopped reading the news, it is getting more political as time goes on. All I do is read the ISW reports and their segments.

Like it or not, maybe for you it's an abstract study in a game of civilisation, for others its security of their countries, actual existence of their country and survival of their loved ones.

Hence politics is more important. It's who has what agreement with whom and whether America finally creates permanent bases in the former Eastern Europe, what sort of future energy provision will look like and so on.

Bwahaha. West owns the media, duh.

West will also provide you with treatment if or when you get sick and will need it.
The computer you type on is Western.
The internet is Western.
The system of banking is Western.
We trade as a country based on the Western system.
Etc.

Russian media is Russian gov. All else is banned.

Western media is Western. People can create their own media.

In addition to an oil embargo, the EU also wants to restrict European companies from providing services for Russian oil. Draft legislation points to a ban on those participating in shipping or insuring Russian oil to any country in the world, Bloomberg reported Thursday.

This would make it harder for Moscow to reroute supplies to new markets such as China and India, the two most likely candidates that would take in some of Russia's excess barrels.
