errr ... because it takes two to decide, one being NATO ... duh
BRUSSELS, April 5 (Reuters) - NATO allies would welcome Finland and Sweden into the alliance if they decided to join but any such move is up to the two nations, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said on Tuesday.

"It's for them to decide of course but if they apply, I expect that 30 allies will welcome them," Stoltenberg told a news conference.
NATO seems to welcome them with open arms.

NATO seems to welcome them with open arms.
NATO dangled similar carrots in front of Ukraine's nose for years, saying you will welcome a new member is something entirely different from actually welcoming them

just ask Zelensky

In the real world, there's something called deviation from the norm.
So you admit to the norm.
In absence of evidence of deviation.
I see you.

And how do you get to the free vodka and grenade behind a closed door? Just give a minute or two for the synapses to connect the dots.
Loop falls off.
Not secured.
Synapses intact.
Or open door slightly.
Notice string.
Stop opening door.
Kick and run.
Much fun, free vodka.
Campfire stories about stupid movie booby traps.

the uncomfortable possibility almost nobody wants to talk about ...

Putin cannot afford to lose. His entire legacy will live and die with Ukraine. It is almost a given that he was going to come back for a second, harder swing.

And we have already seen a Grozny in Ukraine with Mariupol, so no, nobody will be surprised as to what comes next. I myself said in the previous thread that the same fate awaits Kyiv, but we'll see now.

Now what you need to acknowledge is that the initial invasion was a failure. Armies do not fall back when things are going to plan. Trying to convince yourself that Putin is being ''canny'' by having his invasion force severely mauled is cope of the highest order. What comes next will be pure spite because he has thus far failed.

Also, this withdrawal buys Ukraine time to prepare defensive plans as well, so more Russians will die and they will lose more stuff taking Ukrainian soil.

not true, some of us are waiting patiently for the truth

the majority in this thread however have already decided what they want the truth to be and no amount of evidence will sway their warped opinion

same goes for the EU that's busy rolling out more sanctions for an alleged crime
Bs.

Even when, you will deny it and side with the Russian side.

MH-17 ...

the true goal of your enemy is ... "not important"?
lawd with that level of insight how would you ever hope to stop him?!?

which nobody claimed, have a Noddy badge
You are a notorious fanboy, defending these actions non stop. You are a russian apologist over all these pages constantly. If you can see what has been done why do you keep defending Putin?
