There is some interesting stuff about the leadup to the war and possible peace agreements.

I fully agree with you that Zelensky should realize he doesn't need to fear Putin because his irrational fear of Russia has greatly contributed to him getting many of his own people killed and parts of his country destroyed.

That is the first step to a peaceful resolution.
Putin's whole plan was to subdue errant Ukraine and bring it into line as a former USSR subordinate. Ukraine was more prepared this time. Putin has a trump card, his nuclear, He knows he can invade any non aligned Nato country while reserving the right to use nuclear should Russia ever be attacked.

Hold the fsck up...
How has Zelenskys fear of Russia greatly contributed to many of his own people being killed?

Who rolled into who's country with tanks and soldiers and missile and started firing?
If you still don't know you never will.

It's why Russian tanks have first aid kits from 1992.

Corruption.

Old first aid kits expire. So replace them?
Heck no. Sell the new ones on the black market. Bribe the inspector. It all checks out in the paper work.

Next time the kits expire again, now the inspector has to cover his own a$$ because finding kits from 1992 in 1998 would mean he did not inspect properly. So got to let the joke continue. There won't be a war after all.

More like 1978...

Under this ridiculous theory he can even invade Nato countries and nobody can do anything. It's BS.

Actually no. He can't invade NATO countries.

Article 5 puts a legal obligation on NATO countries to respond.

No. Maybe read article 5. It requires Nato countries to hold meetings and deliberate, the "response" doesn't necessarily have to be military. They can respond in any way they feel appropriate. Same as what they have done in Ukraine. Choose not to really get involved militarily.

Maybe understand my post... I stated respond, I didn't say it has to be military....

But if Russia tried that shyte now, you can be 100% sure it would be a military response and russia would be put in its little corner very swiftly.

They are already put in their little corner. No military action needed yet.

Okay. So then you agree with me there's nothing special about article 5. Good.

Largely yes...

But I'm more positing that if Russia overstepped their mark and actually attacked a NATO country, it would end very very badly for them...

There are enough East European NATO countries that are now much better prepared and who would happily take a shambok to Russia if they were given the option to do so.
