If Zelensky formally surrenders today, it will only trigger a multi year insurgency against the Russian occupiers. There are enough weapons and trained people in Ukraine right now to keep the fight going for the next 10 years, or even more. There is no way that the Ukrainians will simply roll over and accept a Russian victory. In fact, I would even argue that without the limitations/restrictions of a formal war, this will get much bloodier for the Russians.

The only way Russia ends this war "successfully" at this point, is with an unconditional withdrawal.
 
The couple were convicted in Germany for exporting drone parts to Russia. A businessman and his wife, who have dual citizenship of Germany and the Russian Federation, supplied components to the Russian manufacturer of Orlan-9 drones in violation of sanctions. These drones are being used in the war against Ukraine.Parts were purchased in Germany and transported to Russia via Turkey, China and the UAE. The amount of spare parts exported to the Russian Federation in this way amounted to about 875 thousand euros.The court sentenced the man to six years and nine months in prison, and his wife to one year and nine months probation

Russia's objective is to exterminate Ukrainians.
As history shows those who were okay with it, got stripped of their national identity, while those who did not agree were erased.

Still boggles me how people don't read the UNESCO reports of damaged heritage sites to see the extent of cultural heritage that has been damaged or destroyed.
