He did. But it's reported the Russian delegation went on about "denazification", at which point the Ukrainians realised what they were dealing with.

He made it clear Ukraine is not going to cede territory to Russia.

Edit: Putin's latest speech indicates Russia is not going to stop until the entire Ukraine is swallowed up, further proving they want to negotiate only on their terms.

That's a fallacious statement. His training is in law. The fact that he ended up in entertainment doesn't preclude him from negotiating with Russia. Besides, he has a team of researchers as well as the rest of the delegation.

Anti-ship missiles are usually quite accurate because you need to hit a moving target on a heaving sea in a very specific spot

The thing with those "Kitchen" missiles though, is that they were designed to carry nuclear warheads in order to destroy carrier strike groups. Don't need pinpoint accuracy with nukes.

Now they are being used on land based targets with much smaller radar profiles while carrying conventional warheads.

During the initial negotiations the people in the Ukrainian delegation indicated they were serious and Russia that they weren't.

You mean allies could have ended WW2 in 1942 by negotiating with Hitler and Tojo?

(Give Hitler and Tojo, Russia and China in exchange for peace and withdrawal from Europe. That would be a deal. No more dead at D-Day, Italy, North Africa, Pacific etc).

The EU wants a weaker Russia more than some temporary comforts. WW3 is not as bad as a period of more expensive gas and petrol.

Russia is the one getting hammered.

True, Russia is a monster. They have huge stockpiles of weapons but their own people live like the 3rd world. In fact probably worse.
