Kirill Stremousov, a traitor and accomplice of the Russian Federation in the Kherson region, claimed that the occupying authorities would fire officials if they sabotaged the work of the occupiers and were unwilling to convey to the population a position promoting "Russia's future in the region."

Source: Russian propaganda publications "RIA Novosti"; TASS

Quote from Stremousov: "All those who sabotage local work, all those who do not give a concrete, clear position in the villages on our future development as part of the Russian Federation, will be fired soon. Many will simply be punished."

Background:

In Kherson Oblast, occupying authorities organised a celebration of Russia Day, which the locals ignored.

On 11 June, only 23 people from all over Kherson took Russian passports, including collaborator and former mayor Volodymyr Saldo.

Moscow Exchange suspends Swiss franc trading after new sanctions

The Moscow Exchange has said it would suspend trading of the Swiss franc against the rouble and the US dollar after Switzerland adopted new EU sanctions against Russia.

The Moscow Exchange, Russia’s largest bourse, said it was having difficulty conducting transactions in the Swiss currency as a result of new trading restrictions imposed by Switzerland last week.

“The suspension of operations is due to difficulties conducting settlements in Swiss francs faced by market participants and the financial sector in connection with the restrictive measures imposed by Switzerland on June 10,” the Moscow Exchange said in a statement.

Russia to reopen Mariupol theatre, says official

A Ukrainian official has criticised Russian troops in the southern city of Mariupol as Russian authorities plan to reopen the drama theatre where “hundreds” of Ukrainians were bombed.

A media investigation found evidence that the attack killed an estimated 600 people inside and outside the building.

Mariupol mayor’s adviser Petro Andriyushchenko said on Telegram that Russia’s plan was to restore and reopen the theatre on September 1.

“A dance on bones, an exhibition on a graveyard,” he said about the plan.

Russia's recruiting companies are looking for masses "volunteers" for the military, and requiring neither physical training nor military training.

Source: Press Service of the Security Service of Ukraine

Details: The invaders are being offered good salaries for work on the "restoration" of the occupied territories in eastern Ukraine - to dismantle the ruins of buildings destroyed by the Russian army, or to load humanitarian aid supplies.

A captured aggressor, who was allegedly contracted as a "handyman," talked about this to SSU investigators.
But, according to him, such contractors have little choice: they can agree to serve as "cannon fodder" in the illegal armed groups of "LPR/DPR" [self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic and Donetsk People’s Republic] or be shot for refusal.

In particular, this resident of Udmurtia [Russia] signed a contract with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for 2 months due to financial difficulties.

He worked on clearing the territory of a school during the first week. And then, together with 32 other "colleagues," he was sent to Zolote to be enlisted in the so-called "LPR" [self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic] terrorist group.

According to the prisoner, the rest of the "volunteers" refused: on the first day, 82 people refused.

Those who carried out the order did not do well. "7 of the 32 [who went to Zolote, Luhansk Oblast] were taken prisoner, 6 returned, the rest have become [Cargo] 200th [were dead]. I was injured," said the prisoner of war.

In the end, even the Russian commanders fled.

Currently, SSU investigators and counterintelligence officers are continuing [their work] with this prisoner.

Russian occupiers have stolen almost 2,000 tons of grain from enterprises in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Two criminal proceedings have been opened regarding this situation.

Source: The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office

Details: A pre-trial investigation into two criminal proceedings on violations of the laws and customs of war is carried out by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region under the procedural guidance of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Prosecutor's Office.

According to the investigation, during May and June the Russian military forced employees of a branch of one of the companies in the occupied Vasylivka district, under the threat of physical violence, to load wheat onto vehicles without licence plates marked with the letter "Z" [this letter is used by the Russian army and Russian occupying forces - ed.].

The occupiers stole more than 1,200 tons of grain from the enterprise, shipping it off in an unknown direction.

Also on 8-9 June, Russian troops armed with automatic weapons stole almost 500 tons of sunflower seeds from the warehouses of an agricultural enterprise in the village of Nesteriantsi in the Polohy district.

Background:

  • The grain stolen from Ukrainian farmers in the temporarily occupied territories is being exported to Syria, where the Russian Federation has already sent 100,000 tons of wheat.
  • The Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine says that Russians have stolen about 500,000 tons of grain – a third of the amount in the occupied territories. The Russian Federation tried unsuccessfully to "export" some of this grain to Egypt.
  • For a sustained period, the theft of Ukrainian grain has been reported from all temporarily occupied oblasts. In Luhansk Oblast, for example, Russians stole or destroyed the oblast’s three-year grain supply. This is the only area where sowing has not started.
  • In the Zaporizhzhia region, grain is disappearing from ports, and farmers are being blackmailed and forced to give 70% of their harvest to the occupiers.
