ANKARA, September 19. /TASS/. Private bank Denizbank suspended withdrawal of the Turkish lira from bank cards of the Russian payment system Mir, according to TASS correspondent.
ATMs report a transaction confirmation error and return payment cards.
It was reported earlier that ATMs of the Turkish bank Is bankasi suspended withdrawal of the Turkish lira from bank cards of the Russian payment system Mir.
Halk TV channel reported earlier on Monday that Turkey’s largest private bank Is bankasi has suspended the work with Russia’s payment system Mir. The decision followed statements on possible sanctions by the US Department of the Treasury against foreign financial institutions that accept Mir cards, according to the channel.

Grey imports and smuggling. The only difference compared to last year with grey importers is that it may cost more. I don't know why someone would want to pay extra for the iphone 14 max (not criticising, I actually like iphone cameras although I don't own one) when it is already so expensive and it does not come with a charger. Maybe also duty free airports do business in that way? Never asked the question about duty free and sanctioned tech so I am curious about the duty free part.
Another thing I can think of how they might import it is through drop shipping (not the same as smuggling although it is almost the same thing) similiar to that aramex global shopper service. Order it online then dropship from china to russia.

Pro-Russian separatists in Ukraine jail OSCE employee for 13 years
Moscow-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine sentenced an employee of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) to 13 years in jail on treason charges, Russian news agencies have reported.“A panel of judges found Dmitry Pavlovich Shabanov guilty … and sentenced him to 13 years in prison,” the RIA Novosti news agency reported, quoting the Supreme Court of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR).
Shabanov, who was arrested in April, is accused of passing confidential information to foreign intelligence services.
The OSCE has “unequivocally” condemned the charges against Shabanov, saying he is being “held unjustifiably on fabricated charges”.
US adds cargo planes operated by Iranian airlines to export violation list
The United States Commerce Department has said it will add three Boeing 747 planes operated by Iranian airlines providing cargo services to Russia to a list of aircraft believed to violate US export controls as part of the Biden administration’s sanctions over the Russian invasion of Ukraine.Using commercially available data, the Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security identified planes operated by Mahan Air, Qeshm Fars Air, and Iran Air flying and transporting goods, including electronic items, to Russia in apparent violation of the Commerce Department’s stringent export controls on Russia. These are the first three Iranian planes identified.
A total of 183 aircraft have been listed for apparent violations of US export controls, the department said. The three Iranian airlines identified today are already subject to various restrictions by the US government.
‘Gigantic mistake’: Biden warned China’s Xi over aiding Russia
US President Joe Biden says he told his Chinese counterpart it would be a “gigantic mistake” to violate sanctions against Russia after its invasion of Ukraine.Biden said he spoke with Xi after the latter met Putin during the Winter Olympics in February. Russia attacked its neighbour shortly thereafter.
“I said: ‘If you think that Americans and others will continue to invest in China based on your violating the sanctions that have been imposed on Russia, I think you’re making a gigantic mistake. But that’s your decision to make,’” the US leader told American broadcaster CBS in an interview that aired on Sunday.

Yeah and those black market phones are more often not than installed with Spyware specifically for blackmail and account theft. Bad, bad idea.

With the British, Finnish and now Turkish borders effectively closed to them, what options are there for the Russians? China? Japan? Singapore? Seychelles? Mauritius? I know Argentina and quite possibly Brazil won't mind hosting them.
