Most of them pointed in the correct region. A few had to be trolling, to not know what Canada or Australia look like? But sure... US is a huge country and just knowing the states and capitals is a mission.

Also, showing us people who got it right the first time doesn't make for good tv. Who knows how long they sat there filming to get enough idiots on camera to fill the segment?

You mean the US, or any of the 5 eyes, does not have any satellites over Russia to compromise them?

Russia had not provided any evidence of shelling whatsoever so there's nothing to counter.
Their "evidence" of the POW explosion was shredded instantly so I guess they are just sticking to their lies rather than provide photographic evidence of their lies.

You're asking the US to provide satellite footage instead of asking Russia for cellphone footage. Why?

What are your concerns about an independent Ukraine?

Why do you deny Ukraine an opportunity to have a Velvet Revolution of their own?
Ukraine had its Velvet Revolution / Independence in 1991. Lots of corruption etc, but things were not bad. Then Yanukovich was ousted in 2010 for the first time. He resigned so it was a good sign of democracy.

Unfortunately the east of Ua wanted nothing to do with the western part. Czechoslovakia solved the same issue peacefully as both sides agreed to the separation. In Ukraine, this was not the case. Then the US got involved in the west and Russia in the east.

Maidan happened and Minsk 2 presented great opportunity for final dissolution. Unfortunately (yet again), nobody followed through. And here we are.

Whether you like it or not, someone will have to negotiate with Russia, otherwise this thing will keep carrying on, killing people on both sides.

Saying Russia must go is like shouting at clouds to go away, instead of trying to find shelter.
You do understand that if Ukraine joined the Russians, chances are we'd be fighting the Russians now?
Or pretty soon?

Ukraine is essentially fighting for all of us.
I do not agree here.

or maybe Russia will have to try negotiate with others.
russia (despite delusions) is not omnipotent, and cannot defeat the rest of the planet
I agree with you. As others said here yesterday, Russia needs an opening and a way out of this mess.

Erdogan is trying and Macron is too, it seems. Fingers crossed.

When your vile hatred comes home.
The anti-Putin faction wanted to send a message.

to my mind a more neutral arbiter is needed - both macaroon and Erdogan have horses in the race

South Africa was proposing to mitigate, I am not sure where we are going to find a Russian/Ukranian speaking Tutu so that the guys don't donder each other again.

in my opinion - the Russian govt needs to remove Putin.
Putin is becoming Russia's worst enemy.

as this drags on, eu countries continue to wean themselves off Russia's gas and oil - a year down the line this will have severe consequences on Russia's economy, and it's people.
all the while, Russia becomes increasingly isolated - thanks to the actions of one man.

the grain thing, and now Putin allowing inspectors into the nuclear facility are both concessions offered up by Russia. should Ukraine be found guilty of accusations leveled against it by Russia (in terms of the nuclear facility), this could pave the way for Russia making an exit on a high road
