Time will tell, firing missiles from a ship at Kiev and it's population is not going to give them their illegally annexed territory back, it will simply strengthen their resolve to fight.
We see a lot of Russians fighting for their motherland because they are under the impression that Russophobia and anti-Russite hate is rife in the West. I see threads like these where nothing is being done about Russian hatred and Russophobia and I think to myself "well, the Ukrainians might have a lot of resolve, but the hate and Russophobia from the West is fuelling Russian resolve".

But then again, US and UK media spread hatred towards those that do not follow their BS... Think Islamophobia and "to**l heads" when they invaded parts of the Middle East. Think "ch**ks and go**s" when the USA was in Vietnam. How did they treat the Japanese in WW2? To be expected and pretty disgusting that they are now at the forefront of spreading anti-Russian hate.

LOL what a load of crap.

Those armchair warriors run for the hills at the first sign they might have to put their money where their mouth is.

oh hell, where do I start?

- it was formed as a counter to the USSR which no longer exists?
- it has no purpose in the modern world whatsoever?
- it essentially is a cash cow for the MIC?
- it claims to be a defensive alliance, yet Yugoslavia would like a word about that one ...

etc
Lol.

Yugoslavia broke up before NATO bombed it, under a UN sanctioned resolution.

I'm sure that providing some public safe spaces in Europe for Russian soldiers will end the war. Not only oly physically but also virtually online and on TV. Microaggressions could be addressed there. And who said that bombing civilians was not an acceptable way of fighting a war of aggression? It's Eurocentric bigotry. Nobody asked questions about the methods of fighting when the Red Army was 'liberating' Europe and many women just found themselves pinned under handsome and victorious Soviet soldiers who shielded them with their bodies. Just because one invades a country which did not attack one for money, does not mean one should not be allowed to enjoy a protected status on Western social media all the while denigrating Ukrainians who are being hateful for resisting.

Just take a look at Russian media and state TV and ask yourself honestly what is worse?
There is no balance there at all, zero, ziltch. Any dissenting views are curbed immediately and unashamedly so, with hosts even warning some pundits not to comment in that/negative way.

At least in the west you can have your say and let it land where it does, on all networks, although some are for or pro some or other narrative or party.
You will never ever see that from Russia, now ask why their citizens have this complex about the west and russiaphobia.

As for the second part, name calling by troops will go on endlessly, war isnt pretty, and lets not ask how the Japs treated their foe either. So in my view that paragraph is a non starter and just chaff and obfuscation of the debate.
