Nato has never been tested on their defence,

Oh. did the members of NATO form the alliance in Afghanistan?

nato was created for Russia, when opportunity comes a knocking

Rubbish. NATO was created for any threat from any power to its members. Do you think Canada, Iceland and Portugal are worried about being attacked by Russia?

Your point further strengthens mine, even if I disagree with it. NATO is not offensive. It would need to pull Desert Storm like preparation before launching into Russia and causing actual need for Russia to consider nuclear war.

There are a few thousand US troops in countries bordering Russia. They are good but not superhuman. Maybe if they had John Rambo with them given how he took care of the Russians in Afghanistan they could launch now.
I have only seen Nato attack Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya
Thats not defence if if they were lied to
The US have their bases all over the world, none are nuclear capable yet
Rambo helped the taliban against Russia apparently, John McLean was busy that day

I don't know what you're getting into. I was speaking tactics and operation. They took out the Taliban with local help and then had to police the country and fight back an insurgency.

NATO operations against Russia are defensive primarily. They could of course launch a Desert Storm but not in the present state. America would have to position more weapons and men in Europe and reserves would have to be mobilised. Equipment would have to be assembled, ammo provisions, logistics sorted out (Russia has kuk roads and different rails width) and positioned. It would take maybe a year. They needed that long for Iraq. When taking Russia it's not enough to take out the army, you have to occupy hostile territory as well and that means 100s of 1000s of personnel. It's a movie scenario from GI Joe. My point is that, that's the likely only scenario that could lead to nuclear WW3.

There was no Taliban back then. I detect a degree of possible racism or Islamophobia there. Is Kadyrov not a Taliban or ISIS in the making too, then? Russia support for Iran is also cool by you?

The invasion of Afghanistan was a 60 nation alliance legalised by the UN. NATO only had 30 members in that alliance. NATO never attacked Iraq nor Libya. Start learning the facts and stop spreading misinformation.

The US have their bases all over the world,

You omit to mention the USA is invited to be there by the countries those bases are in.

A Commissar is a military political officer. Something the West does not have as their militaries are apolitical. Commissars ensure the political indoctrination of troops, monitor dissent and generally spy on the command of the unit they are assigned to. Officers commanding units despise them and treat them with passive aggressive contempt but agree with them all the time as their careers are on the line.

Their effect on everybody lying about their dire circumstances as being excellent causes only positive reports to HQ and a skew picture of the actual state of a unit as they have to see all reports. This results in the schizophrenic Russian armed forces we witness.

The SADF tried a similar thing on a single operation in the early 1980's with us. They sent a military intelligence officer along on an operation. He spoke to nobody and did nothing at all except watch us. We openly dubbed him the Commissar and referred to him as such in front of him. The contempt was visible and not disguised.

When we got back to home base, certain members were ordered to hand over the negatives of photos they had taken which would have never compromised future operations as they were of own personnel in safe surroundings only. Nobody would have been stupid enough to compromise a future operation as their lives were on the line.

They never sent one along on any future operations as the complaints of the SADF and unit not trusting its members were very vocal. We never found out which apparatchiks idea it was.

Such a pity NATO did not "to take all necessary measures to protect civilians under threat" for the Ukrainian civilians in the Donbas. Must be those "international rules-based world order" rules for equality or some fake lofty ideals.

Dishonest use of an image for your own reasons without stating the image was manipulated. Here is the original. Standard tactics for a Russian propagandist:
