Not sure if she's referring to Ukraine's resistance or Russian mobilization of citizens resistance , either way applies to both.

“We thought that all of this could be accomplished with much less blood and of course, we weren’t anticipating such strong resistance.”
— Margarita Simonyan, head of RT

Appears to be a good reason.

Solovyov brought up another egregious instance in which a severely ill musician was mobilized in Novosibirsk, prompting Senator Alexander Karelin to intervene. The recruiter explained that he drafted the musician because he previously made some sort of complaint against him.

Thought Russia was winning.

What airdefence doing?

Why mobilise 300 000 untrained soldiers?
That's just how Russia fights a war.
You should know a bit of history. Ww2 they send guys to the front lines without a weapon and told them to just scavenge one of a dead buddy.

Drawing parallels between Vlad and Joseph Stalin feels like you’re getting lazy and not thinking things through, riettie.
That wasn't just a parallel between them. That was Russias style throughout all of history.

Lose, wait for winter to freez the enemy out.
