Imo at least another 6 months, but by the end of it China will most probably attack Taiwan and lots of other wars will spill all over the middle east Africa and Asia.

Well, you don't really need nuclear weapons to make a dirty bomb, just conventional explosives and radioactive material of which Ukraine has plenty thanks to their nuclear power stations.

So while Ukraine can easily cobble together a dirty bomb, it would be pointless and self-defeating. They'll just end up contaminating their own land for negligible gains while pissing off their European neighbours and weapon suppliers. It might also give Russia an excuse to retaliate with real nuclear weapons.

I can easily see why Russia would detonate a dirty bomb and try and frame Ukraine for it given the reasons above.
