That was fast ... Should be irrelevant since the mobilization is over
My guess is the minority groups and poor areas are the ones with 2+ kids

Putin has two choices - Victory or death. He has no other out as he will be tried for war crimes or crimes against humanity. And the world has decided he will not be seeing victory.

He won’t be held to account. That will require an invasion of Russia. Even if Russia is forced to withdraw from Ukraine. I also doubt that a withdrawal from Ukraine will result in Putin being assassinated by his own. They all have too much invested in him.

They will spin a withdrawal(if it comes to that) as some sort of victory even if they have to settle for a “we showed the west how serious we are and now we have forced them to guarantee xxxx”. Probably the exact same guarantees they always had. Their only concern is what Russians can be made to believe. Not what anyone outside of Russia thinks. And it pretty easy to get a significant number of Russians to believe it.

Expect more prominent Russians to accidentally fall out of tall buildings to ensure any criticism of Putin us stifled.

Yeah. Hope I'm wrong, but at this point I have have lost all faith in the Russian people.

Can't see any kind of revolutionary action happening there.

Seems like they would rather submit to kissing a picture of Putin's feet placed on their nightstand on a daily basis like the North Koreans.

Those surrounding putin have their own political and military careers to consider.
I suspect its unlikely they would be prepared to sacrifice all and die on the hill called putin.
The natives always become restless at some point.

Confirming your loss of faith, at this stage any decent Russian will run away....even if they have to beg on the streets of Thailand, like the 2 Russian guys who got arrested there last week

Well something is off about it in any case. Makes no sense other than hinting at desperation for more bodies to throw in the meat grinder of war. The more kids, the more the widows will struggle.
And flip I might have nightmares about the woman pictured - That smile is somewhere between The Grinch and Chucky

It is an option, but Putin isn’t an idiot. Hence folks accidentally falling out of tall buildings. I think Putin and his inner circle have things very tightly wrapped up in Moscow. They are on the lookout for any sign of dissent and react without delay or remorse.

If Putin does suddenly “resign”, his replacement is more likely to be more or at least as determined as he was in subjugating Ukraine.

I don’t believe only 1 guy in Moscow thought it would be smart move to Ukraine or that 1 guy can make such a decision. The whole senior military and political leadership is behind the idea. Also the reason he can’t pull back now. It’s just his name on it.

There have been lots of posts supporting this on both sides in the last few threads
There was even leaked documentation showing the compensation that was catered for in payments to the family of dead russians.

Then we have the misinformation provided by some of the russian lovers purporting to the dead 100k ukraines where the number quoted was for dead and wounded and at a ratio of 1:7 the killed would have been about ~14k. I just couldnt be bothered to correct the idiots anymore.

Russia's dead to wounded as referenced in another post was only about ~1:2.5. This is due to the complete lack of combat medical aid. They seem to be running on WW1 doctrine. Literally if you get anything more than a light wound, you are a dead man.
At 100000+ dead, their total dead and wounded has to be above 250k

The signs are there that the idea that BOTH sides have the same amount of dead is bullshit.
Why does the one side ( who started with FAR MORE men ) have to still do forced and violent conscription and is even talking about 200k+ more ?
Easy answer. The one side doesnt have to because they are not losing as much....

References to all teh above are in teh last 2 to 3 threads.

When your best and only friend is crazy ayatollah

Russian, Iranian foreign ministers to meet next week

Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian is expected to visit Moscow on January 17 to meet his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told reporters that discussions would include the Iran nuclear deal, known as JCPOA.
“Interaction between the two countries at international platforms, including the UN” would also be on the agenda, Tass quoted Zakharova as saying, as well as the situations in Syria, Afghanistan and the Caucasus.
Iran and Russia have become closer during the Ukraine war; Tehran supports Moscow with drones and has blamed the West for instigating the conflict.

Wagner chief makes thinly veiled retort toward Russian defense ministry about Soledar

Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin has posted a thinly veiled retort toward the Russian Defense Ministry about the claimed capture of Soledar.

His remarks highlight, once again, the rift between Prigozhin and the defense ministry.

In a post on Telegram, the head of the Russian mercenary group said that while the United States is “a serious adversary, at the moment it is not a key one” — instead, the Russian Defense Ministry is.

Nothing quite like some delicious dissension amongst the ranks

What was that story about this being a lie and Russian citizen can only be mobilized if he was a conscript before with military ID?
Now Steven Segal, Snowden and few others can be real patriots.
