This is one of the more crazy audio clips I've heard. Dad keeps trying to tell the son BS stories about the Ukrainian army but the son thinks he's talking about the Russian army and confirms them.

Dad: Americans are testing medicine on the Poles to make them not feel pain.

Son: Yeah but our guys refuse to take it.

Dad: And if anyone tries to surrender they kill their own people!

Son: Nobody has tried to leave here, there are blocking units (that would kill us).

Well one is yes, but the west still hasn't even scratched the surface.
Not really, the west updated their military for modern war fare and this conflict is more olf fashioned so all they had to give were older stockpiles of ammo and equipment which they weren't using anyway. Europe maybe running low on mortars to supply to the Ukrainians.

Old fashioned?? How do you figure that?

It's a relatively modern war regardless of the lack of an air power war so far.

This conflict is something more akin to something in WW2 than two modern countries with modern military tech fighting each other. Watch the video they explain it better than I can

William Burns, Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), warned President Volodymyr Zelenskyy about an assassination threat at a secret meeting during his visit to Ukraine before Russia’s invasion.

Source: The Independent

Details: Chris Whipple, author of books about administrations of different US presidents, describes this information in his book The Fight of His Life: Inside Joe Biden’s White House.

William Burns went to Kyiv before the start of the full-scale war in order to inform Zelenskyy of a Russian plan to murder him and "give him [Zelenskyy – ed.] a reality check", as Zelenskyy was publicly dismissive of warnings from US officials.

Chris Whipple said that Biden tasked the CIA director – a former US Ambassador to Russia – with providing Zelenskyy with "precise details of the Russian plots": "This immediately got Zelenskyy's attention; he was taken aback, sobered by this news".

It is noted with a reference to 'Ukrainian officials' that Zelenskyy has survived more than 12 separate attempts on his life by Russian forces since the full-scale war began in February 2022.

Whipple said that at least two of those success stories were thanks to US intelligence shared by Burns during that visit to Kyiv: "The intelligence was so detailed that it would help Zelenskyy's security forces thwart two separate Russian attempts on his life."

The Russian public has been properly deep fried with propaganda.

A bit like this youngster.
Every now and then I'll take a look at his youtube channel - documenting life in Russia (prior to this war), then as hostilities began (him having no intention to leave Russia), and thru to him eventually leaving - and now the current situation with him out of the country

Putler or Piano Peen?

Yeah, I think that prediction will be right.

In all honesty I watched the video, and it doesn't really explain it.

Even "Modern war" has been largely tank based and artillery based even into the 2000s (Iraq being an example of the Tank based aspect and many of the other smaller conflicts going on that aren't Guerilla based)...
Also the running out aspect misses the very basic fact that the current production is at "peace time" levels and not a war footing production, so of course production won't keep up with a country burning through the resources in a war time environment. Also you will find many countries are ramping up production to meet the demand, and even exceed it as a risk mitigation scenario.

One of the things is that if you look at this tragedy through a certain lens, you would see it as an old fashioned war. If you look at in a different lens you would see it very differently. At the end of the day its way more complicated than that as there is an element of "modern war" vs "traditional war" as either side is playing different tactics and starting to use very different equipment.

Remember Iraq was 20 years ago.

It looks like a whole another rabbit hole to go into to see what exactly the Europeans and NATO mean by a "modern war" and "modern military" . All I know for sure is that Russians are operating what the layman would call a modern war but NATO finds that style of war outdated.

No Russia are operating what most people would call an old fashioned meat grinder war, with partially modern equipment.

And yes Iraq was 20 years ago, which is recent in terms of history and also the last real War that was fought in this style... everything since then has mostly been guerilla style warfare within countries itself.

Huh? Most of the equipment used is 90s with a whole lot of modern drones. Not sure how that makes it more akin to ww2, its more like desert storm.
