The interesting bit is the evolution of drones and how they now with the introduction of the marker can run autonomously and make life and death decisions without human intervention. That is both interesting and scary as I said.

There is no drone that makes life and death decisions. There is always a human that has to push the kill button for legal reasons as well as practical reasons. Where did you get this information from?

In terms of responsibility , those countries sending arms and money are just as liable as if they were sending in their troops. They must NOT be surprised when they are attacked.

Russia has already been threatening everyone and sundry with all sorts of evil. The only solace Nato countries have is the cannon fodder of Ukr that lies between them, so they are being, or playing, rather coy.
Do what is required to remove the Russians from Ukr territory, supply the longer range offensive weaponry to strike mustering points deep within Russia. They are absolutely legitimate targets.
These piecemeal promises of a tanks and apc's or whatever (whenever) are not going to make a definitive difference. It will just drag on and on, stalling advancement of either side.

There was the small matter of the Minsk accords that the Ukranians kept breaking. Interesting that subsequent revelations from Merkel and Hollande have revealed that there was never any intention (from Ukraine and France and Germany) to honour the Minsk agreements. They were just a ruse so that Ukraine could buy time and arm itself for war.

There is a small matter of Russia breaking the Budapest memorandum. One can make a point that the west supplying weapons to Ukraine is them keeping their responsibilities in the memorandum by ensuring Ukraine continuing sovereignty.
