Which part of serial production do you not understand? The links described exactly which tests were passed. Read them and dispute them if you have better info.

One link to Wikipedia. Did you notice how many times it has been edited since August 2022? If the reports were credible, why so many edits?

Two links to TASS:

Russian News Agency-TASS

Russian News Agency-TASS - Right Center Bias - Questionable - Propaganda - Conspiracy - Fake News - Not Credible
Factual Reporting: Mixed - Not always Credible or Reliable

QUESTIONABLE SOURCE

A questionable source exhibits one or more of the following: extreme bias, consistent promotion of propaganda/conspiracies, poor or no sourcing to credible information, a complete lack of transparency, and/or is fake news. Fake News is the deliberate attempt to publish hoaxes and/or disinformation for the purpose of profit or influence (Learn More). Sources listed in the Questionable Category may be very untrustworthy and should be fact-checked on a per article basis. Please note sources on this list are not considered fake news unless specifically written in the reasoning section for that source. See all Questionable sources.
  • Overall, we rate the Russian News Agency (TASS), Questionable based on the consistent promotion of Russian Propaganda, conspiracies, and poor sourcing of information.

Detailed Report

Reasoning: Propaganda, Conspiracy, Poor Sourcing

Country: Russia
Press Freedom Rating: LIMITED FREEDOM
Media Type: News Agency
Traffic/Popularity: Medium Traffic
MBFC Credibility Rating: LOW CREDIBILITY

Funded by / Ownership

Tass is owned by the Government of Russia and funded through advertising and the Russian Government.

Analysis / Bias

In review, TASS is a news wire service similar to the Associated Press, but there is no comparison between the two. The only similarity is both use low-biased headlines and wording; however, TASS is 100% Russian propaganda all the time. It is impossible to find an article critical of Vladimir Putin and his administration. TASS does not cite sources in their news reporting and often omits reporting that is not positive about Russia. Further, they report favorably on former President Trump and often promote disinformation directed at Trump’s opponents such as this: Joe Biden’s son and his partners received $16.5 million from Burisma — Ukrainian MP. This story lacks sourcing to back claims. The bottom line is TASS is a puppet of the Russian Regime.

Was just watching SkyNews, they had the defense 'expert' on saying the Leopard 2 and Challenger tanks are amazing in so many words etc, then they compare them to the T-64 and say Russian tanks are useless?

Why not bring up the more modern T-80 which variants are only a few years old, and it is a very good tank.

This is what drives me up the wall about brainwashing the general public.
Anyway its 2pm and rant time

Germany to assemble two tank battalions as it finally approves Leopards

Germany will assemble two tank battalions with a Western coalition after it finally confirmed it will send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine and grant licenses to its allies.
Olaf Scholz, the German Chancellor, said in a statement: "The goal is to quickly assemble two tank battalions with Leopard 2 tanks for Ukraine. In a first step, Germany will provide a company with 14 Leopard 2 A6 tanks from stocks of the Bundeswehr."
He said the decision followed Germany's line of supporting Ukraine to the best of its ability.
Germany will grant the corresponding permits for transfer to the partner countries that want to quickly deliver Leopard 2 tanks from their stocks to Ukraine.
The decision paves the way for other countries such as Poland, Spain and Norway to supply their stocks of Leopard tanks to Ukraine.
"Other European partners will hand over Leopard-2 tanks," he added. "The training of the Ukrainian crews should begin quickly in Germany. In addition to training, the package will also include logistics, ammunition and maintenance of the systems."

A battalion is 56 tanks, so two battalions is 112 tanks. The bolded part is interesting as well, suggests this is just the first package and we will see more tanks in the future. Possibly a number of countries will get together and purchase another two battalions.

Add to that i suspect the US will eventually supply Ukraine 2-4 Abrams battalions.

Edit: They may be using the 44 tank number as a battalion.

I'm sure Russia has hundreds of T-80s, maybe thousands who knows..
No tank has done well on either side, mainly due to modern ATGMs, very few and rare tank on tank. This to me is why this whole new MBT purchase of Leopard 2s and Challengers etc is a complete waste of money. Russia will just do what Ukraine did, use more ATGMs and knock them out..

No tank is immune to an ATGM, modern or not.

The only tanks involved so far are Russian, on the Russian and Ukrainian sides. The ATGM's that have been knocking tanks out are the Western supplied ATGM's. Half the Ukrainian tank force now consists of captured Russian tanks.

Introducing a Western tank will be a game changer.

Russsian ATGM in use, the Kornet. They also use many captured NLAWS and Javelins etc.
I don't see some wonder weapon MBT doing any better.

Two links to TASS:
There are no independent journalists observing and reporting the results of Russian weapons tests for stupidly obvious reasons. There are numerous edits regarding any new armament on the block (not that Wikipedia should be trusted regarding exact arms capabilities, anyway). Giant snapshots from your favourite and very dubious fact checker do nothing to obscure the lack of a real argument here.

Russia claimed that they had used the Kinzhal hypersonic missile in Ukraine ("a claim later confirmed by US officials to CNN"), so there is a track record of at least one confirmed hypersonic weapon in production and operation.

The problem for the Russians up to now has been their tactics, i.e. they have been using armour without infantry support, that is how the NLAWS and Javelins got them.
Edit: Doubt the Ukraine will use the same tactics, they know better.

Exactly why Russia can make wild claims.

Dubious fact checker? Provide a link to a better one then? Is that why it's used by these institutions?
