I don't see some wonder weapon MBT doing any better.

Time will tell.

Western tanks are considerably more modern and, historically, western tank design prioritises crew ergonomics and survivability over the Soviet/Russian design concept of cheap(er) and quicker to produce with crew ergonomics and survivability an afterthought at best.

Notice the extremely low profile of Soviet (Russian) tanks and their overall smaller size relative to their western counterparts? This leaves the crew cramped with little survivability built-in to the design.
