Technically yes Ukraine is a belligerent by the strictest definition of the word, but for me at least, in the colloquial usage of the word they are not.

NATO countries' involvement in the Russia-Ukraine war is akin to the US's involvement in the Soviet-Afghan war.

That war resulted in the dissolution of the USSR. This war will have similar consequences.

Not a single German soldier is on the ground in Ukraine. Not a single German soldier is armed with a weapon, or operating a tank or a fighter jet in Ukraine. Not a single German General is in Ukraine ordering troops to fight the Russians.

Belarus provided territory for Russia's springboard land attack on Kyiv and still allow their territory to fire missiles and train Russian troops. Iran supplies drones which bomb civilians.

Agreed totally. This multilateral war will only keep escalating and i only foresee much more death coming.
Everytime Ukraine has new weapons the pendulum swings their way and the Russian adapt and bring in fresh troops, grind it out and then momentum goes their way, then Ukraine gets a newer more deadly weapon. Rinse Repeat.
