lmao I corrected myself in the post after that with MANPATS. The difference is that mine is spelling, yours was actually thinking you could do it.

I really need to go find the interview with a soldier returned from Ukraine talking about the sniper in their group using an anti material rifle. He was killing BMPs with his 50cal by hitting the right spots. With the introduction of older tanks like the T-62 the right sports has started appearing on MBTs.

Ah yes, because lightly armoured BMPs are the same as a T-62.

You can hammer on the World of Tank type of analysis on the T-62 but then according to World of Tank rules a T-90M should be impenetrable by an AT4 in the frontal arc but we do have a video of that happening. Nothings stops the the fact that on paper you can kill a T-62 by a 50cal with a lucky hit.

AT4? As in the launcher built in the 80s designed to destroy tanks?

Wikipedia has the AT4 with 460mm of penetration.

Frontal arc? What does that mean? The front of the turret? The front plate?

There's a difference between a HEAT round with hundreds of millimetres of penetration and..a 50cal hitting a tank in a "lucky" spot.

Tell me again, what does firing up at a slow plane flying at low altitude with an AA machine gun have to do with hitting the side of a tank and having a 50cal rounds do magical feats?
