I can’t find many recent examples of the US sending a barrage of missiles into apartment blocks. How far back do we need to look?

Yes, there has been intentional killings of civilians by US troops. There isn’t a army where this doesn’t happen. For all their faults they go out of their way to avoid civilian deaths, but mistakes are made. But intentionally firing a large number of missiles into civilians? That’s uniquely Russian in the modern era.

What I find interesting is that these supposedly “Nazi”, “Satanistic”, (whatever the latest Russian label is) Ukrainians, are able to target military bases (and not miss)inside of Russia while the Russians, who claim have state of the art missile technology somehow, keep missing Ukrainian military targets and hitting civilian apartment blocks.

I am shocked, knowing the great conditions and threatment Russian prisoners get !

A deserter who opened fire at a policeman from a machine gun on 6 December was detained in Rostov Oblast (Russia); according to the information from the media outlets, it appears to be a soldier of the Wagner Group, recruited from one of the penal colonies earlier.

Source: Vasiliy Golubev, Governor of Rostov Oblast, on Telegram; Baza, a Russian media outlet with sources in the security services; Kremlin-aligned news outlet RIA Novosti

Quote from Golubev: "The criminal is detained. As a result of coordinated operational-search activities, he was detected in an empty building near Novoshakhtinsk. Investigative actions are conducted."

Details: RIA Novosti outlet, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, reported that the detained soldier is 38 years old and was born in another region.

According to the data from Baza outlet, this detained deserter is Pavel Nikolin, a soldier of the Wagner Group.

He was serving a sentence for theft and robbery at the Penal Colony No.4 [city of Ufa, Russia]. He was recruited to the Wagner Group there. But Nikolin changed his mind about going to war on 24 November and escaped.

As per the Baza’s information, Nikolin had been searched for approximately a day and found at an abandoned pig farm. He was trying to fight back during the detainment.

Never said all parties are equal in this war but you cannot accuse one country of being the bad guy and committing war crimes while ignoring the same things that were done by the other side as well.

But it irks me when people defend the US and their allies when they clearly have no idea of who they are actually defending.
Everyone is aware of what the US has done over the years. However, you seem to ignore the fact that this is a thread about Russia's war in Ukraine. Furthermore, you claim condemning US's own skeletons is no indication of one's pro-Russian stance but I haven't seen a single post from you condemning the invasion and subsequent atrocities committed against civilians as well as POW.

Don't like the Russian birds so much. It's about the aesthetics not who makes it. A good bird is a good bird no matter who put the bits and bolts together. The US does produce some good looking birds, except the B-21 which disappointed me. I was hoping for a large shift in the looks other than a bit of a rehash of the B-2.

But yes, the US do profit massively from the position that the EU is in due to the sanctions that were rushed. More and more articles about this coming out almost daily now.
And? Does it surprise you? You don't think your mates in the Kremlin profited massively during the Syrian war? Or other skirmishes?
If you don't know they did then you're misguided.

Oh please, was that your attempt to paint me as a supporter of Russia? That's a good laugh. If I was a supporter of Russia I would be defending the mad use of throwing Russian bodies at Ukrainian and US bullets and missiles. Russian tactics have been confusing at best, so much so that even they didn't know what was happening half the time.

Just because I am critical of the US/NATO gang doesn't make me a Russian supporter. But that would be the typical thinking of a US troll. You going off later to suck Biden's little member?
I am not a US troll. I don't like Biden nor Trump. Hell comrade, I don't even live in the USA.
Was that your poor attempt to paint me as an all-out supporter of the USA? It sucked by the way...really badly too.

And that insult at the end...so 1990s. Man, try harder.

Uhm from this the first attempts to retake/reinforce the Hostomel airport from the Ukrainian side was locally formed civilian militias. How did the Russian expect this will be over in 10 days?
