Uzbek minister says ‘gas union’ plan with Russia can only be sales based

Uzbekistan’s energy minister says they will not agree to political conditions that would jeopardise its national interests after a Russian proposal for a “gas union” including the Central Asian country.
Russia said it discussed a gas union with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan last month to support shipments between the three countries and other buyers, including China.
It is part of a shift in Moscow’s strategy since its invasion of Ukraine.
But the Uzbek minister, Jorabek Mirzamahmudov, said Uzbekistan had yet to receive the proposal.
“Even if a gas agreement is concluded with Russia, this does not mean a union,” he said.
Negotiations were being conducted to deliver Russian gas by pipeline via Kazakhstan, but this would be a “technical contract”, not a union.
“If we import gas from another country, we cooperate only based on a commercial, sales contract. We will never agree to political conditions in exchange for gas. In short, we will get the gas contract offered to us only if we agree to it, otherwise not,” he said.

‘Bloody packages’ all came from an address in Germany: Ukraine

For the past week, suspicious packages have been sent to Ukrainian embassies across Europe, all bearing the address of a Tesla car dealership in the town of Sindelfingen in Germany, and usually sent from post offices without video surveillance, Ukraine’s foreign minister said.
Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on Facebook that 31 Ukrainian missions in 15 countries had received such packages in what he called a “campaign of terror against Ukrainian diplomats”.
Ukraine said last week “bloody packages” containing animal eyes had been sent to some of its embassies in Europe, after a letter bomb detonated at its embassy in Spain, injuring a security guard.
“All the envelopes have the same sender address: the Tesla car dealership in the German town of Sindelfingen. Usually, the shipment was made from post offices that were not equipped with video surveillance systems,” Kuleba wrote.
“Criminals also took measures not to leave traces of their DNA on the packages. This, in particular, indicates the professional level of implementation.”
“I don’t remember any instance in history that so many embassies and consulates of one country have been subjected to such mass attacks in such a short period of time.”

Kremlin: No Russian involvement in alleged German far-right plot

The Kremlin says there could be no question of any Russian involvement in an alleged far-right plot to overthrow the German state.
“This appears to be a German internal problem,” spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
“There can be no question of any Russian interference.”
German prosecutors said one of the suspected members had reached out to representatives of Russia, which they saw as its central contact for establishing a new order.
They said there was no evidence the representatives had responded positively to the request.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has acknowledged that the seizure of new territories is a significant result of the so-called "special operation" in Ukraine [the official term used by Russians to describe the ongoing war with Ukraine – ed.].

Source: Kremlin-aligned news outlet RIA Novosti, quoting Putin during an online meeting of the Human Rights Council

Quote: "Of course, it appears to be a long process, but the new territories are a significant result for Russia; the Sea of Azov has become an inland sea. Even Peter the Great fought for access to the Sea of Azov; and most importantly, the people who live there are now with us, and there are millions of them. This is the most important result [of the special operation – ed.]."

Details: At the same time, Putin has acknowledged that there is a war, although Russian propaganda calls it a "special military operation".

Quote: "We [Russians – ed.] didn’t start this war, but in 2014, after the coup d'état in Ukraine, it was started by the Ukrainian authorities, who came to the corridors of this government with the help of this very coup d'état to suppress the will of the citizens living in Donbas," he said.

Details: The Russian president also continues to argue that "the only true guarantor of Ukraine's territorial integrity within its current borders could be Russia", while "nationalist elements in Poland are dreaming of taking back the western territories that Ukraine gained thanks to Stalin's decisions after World War II".

According to Putin, "this is what will be done", but "it is up to Ukrainian politicians" in the future.

Careful with that. Because one can claim that Ukrainians should not fight back. In fact all armies should be disbanded.
Ww1 was different to the war in Ukraine.

It was a clash of overzealous Nationalist ambitions from the major states.

Soldiers were thrown into the meat grinder for no value. The generals had no interest in the lives of their soldiers, much the same way the Russians have no interest in theirs.

Ukraine is defending their homes, their families, and its culture.

Ukraine cares about their soldiers and values every life lost in defense of their home.

Russian occupiers have put up posters in the town of Prymorsk, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, saying that property owners have to apply to the occupation administration for documents, or the property will be recognised as ownerless and taken away.

Source: National Resistance Center

Quote: "The enemy is practising a scheme to declare the property they want to extort as "unowned". Lists of objects are constantly updated on the website of the so-called regional military administration of the occupiers."

Details: The Centre noted that the list includes property and vehicles owned by citizens of Ukraine, as well as municipal and state property.

As for abandoned apartments, the occupiers are collecting information through the heads of apartment block co-owner associations throughout the settlements in the oblast.

Previously: Russian occupiers have started to form lists of properties in occupied Mariupol, the owners of which have left the city due to the occupation.

The Russian invaders mark all this property as "ownerless" and add it to the special register. If the occupiers do not identify the owners of the property within a year, it shall become municipal property.

Russia using nuclear weapons of any configuration first will not in anyway advance their position. It will absolutely make it worse, so be my guest Putin, spit that dummy.

Russian military will use nuke fear mongering as their weapon as long as they can. No nukes will be used in this war.

Roscomos does not have kinetic god rods (Those not familiar about the concept can find out more here) or a large fleet of orbital space lasers that destroy vehicles and buildings on earth. If they had those things Ukraine would have surrendered in February 2022.

And that is exactly what you are now doing as well and I think it is disgusting. Your analogy is dead wrong.

A better one would be (and this is from your perspective):
"Oh nooooo how DARE an ambulance (defense contractors) provide help and support to a crashed truck driver (Ukraine) and charge the insurance company (US government) for the services provided. That is "PrOfiTEeRiNg".
Nevermind the scum looters looting the truck (Russians in Ukraine) I don't have anything to say about that."

I was waiting for your incredibly narrow, bad take and you didn't disappoint at all.
That analogy is exactly what your BFF @Cosmik Debris said (if Russia had not invaded, the US would not have the opportunity...). So if you find it disgusting, please speak to your fellow brethren.

Good thread. Russia could have gone in and de-Nazified Ukraine in 2014/15. Putin was too trusting and possibly too naive, although I suppose he underestimated just how ruthless the US Empire is, and genuinley hoped to work with western "partners".

Who invades a country, annexes it and then thinks people will work with you?

The Nazis did.
