Eish, Hope that is simply a ship in distress and that we are not going to see Denel products joining the Russian side of this fight,

I find it very annoying when people post a "synopsis" of something, and then expect me to go and find the original article so I can read it myself. That is what the ARI did as wellARI based there views on Mearsheimer's recent (as in 2022 statements). Not his 2014 interview.
A synopsis of what he gets wrong here -
Parties that had long, extensive and deep connections with the Russians were banned.
Seems fair given Russia is the country that invaded them and Russia had plans to use local Ukrainian politicians in their invasion plans to take hold of the Ukrainian Parliament, once they had captured Kyiv.

Different story when members of those political parties have been named in captured Russian war plans to be used to prop up the Russian invasion forces occupation and administration of soon to be annexed territory.[Hendrick Vervoed approves of this post]
If you don't like democracy and its many, many flaws, then say so. Political parties being influenced by people you don't like comes with the game.
First thing that jumped out, as mentioned by one of the comments is that when it arrived the cranes were in the stowed position. Later pictures (assume the next day) one crane is extended and looks like hatches open.Eish, Hope that is simply a ship in distress and that we are not going to see Denel products joining the Russian side of this fight,
Similar reasons why the ANC and SACP were banned. They were receiving military support from the Soviet Union.Different story when members of those political parties have been named in captured Russian war plans to be used to prop up the Russian invasion forces occupation and administration of soon to be annexed territory.
2022, every single human has a tinfoil hat hidden somewhere on their person.First thing that jumped out, as mentioned by one of the comments is that when it arrived the cranes were in the stowed position. Later pictures (assume the next day) one crane is extended and looks like hatches open.
Draft of the vessel indicates its fairly empty. Will be interesting to note the level when it leaves Simonstown.
*puts tinfoil hat back in the drawer*
They may be loading some heavy pallets with spares or equipment for repairs, if they were indeed in distress.
AIS was also turned off
No. Your trying to build up a false equivalence here.Similar reasons why the ANC and SACP were banned. They were receiving military support from the Soviet Union.
You don't get to suspend and destroy fairly elected political parties, and then come and tell me that they were really "Russian plants" and that you were doing this for "Democracy".
Christ this again. We have. And they are wrong, as are you. This is from 2015. If really interested in context, and not just emo knee jerk responses, you could also check out Noam Chomsky, Jeffrey Sachs. etc.
Even Chompsky thinks his avid followers are bunch of idiots.....Christ this again. We have. And they are wrong, as are you.
Maybe you should check out anybody else in the world for a more relevant and modern and current take on the situation.
Even that is being more polite than they deserve
I’d make one edit to Michael’s tweet… the last sentence should read, “Fsck off.”
