The SACP was founded by Comrade Bill Andrews in 1921. Stalin decreed that the SACP would have a black leader. Comrade JT Gumede, a senior ANC leader, was appointed as head of the SACP in 1928 after returning from Moscow with Stalin's black leadership decree.

Stalin implemented apartheid long before the Nats even came to power.

Putin admits that Armed Forces of Ukraine cause losses of Russian army

Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, met with his subordinates in the occupied territories of Ukraine on 6 April in Moscow and claimed that the Ukrainian forces must be “pushed back” so far that they are not able to launch attacks on the Russians.

Details: Putin met with Denis Pushilin, Head of the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic, and Leonid Pasichnik, Head of the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic.

Talking to Pushilin, Putin claimed that the Defence Forces of Ukraine launched 300 projectiles "on a single place" on 5 April, allegedly not only injuring the Russian troops but also killing 14 captured Ukrainian soldiers.

Quote: "Our task is to push them as far as needed so that they are not able to cause us harm."

Details: Putin also talked about the plans to build new areas of railway in the occupied territories of Ukraine that he calls "new regions of Russia".

Putin promised Balytsky to build "much better" hospitals on occupied territories of Ukraine than the already existing ones in administrative centres of those regions that Russia could not capture.

Putin discussed gas supplies to Kherson Oblast with Volodymyr Saldo, the Russian-appointed "head" of Kherson Oblast.

Pasichnik, Head of the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic, complained about the snow in Luhansk Oblast and the damage to the power lines it has done. He claimed that there was up to 1-1.5 metres of snow in some parts of the oblast.

Cisco Systems, manufacturer of network equipment and software products, "physically destroyed" its inventories in Russia totaling 1.86 bln rubles ($23.34 mln) due to the termination of sales in January 2023. According to Cisco Systems' financial statements, these are primarily spare parts, but other property, including IT equipment, will also be destroyed.

F-16 jets ‘four or five times’ more effective than MiG-29: Ukraine​

A Ukrainian air commander said Kyiv is in dire need of F-16 fighter jets, which he described as “four or five times” more effective than the Soviet-era planes currently being used.
Serhiy Holubtsov, one of the most senior commanders in the Air Force, said that while donations of Soviet-era MiG-29 fighter jets by allies were an “important step,” the planes did not fully meet Ukraine’s battlefield requirements.
“The F-16 is a fighter that has become a multirole aircraft which can fulfil the entire spectrum of airborne tasks. The MiG-29 unfortunately, is (an aircraft) from the last century,” he said on national television.
Poland and Slovakia recently began to hand over MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine.
But any coalition of F-16 donors would likely rely on backing from the US, which is by far the largest operator and builder of the planes.
However, Washington has ruled out sending F-16 jets to Ukraine for now.

Russian prosecutors request 25 years for politician accused of treason​

Russian prosecutors have requested a 25-year prison sentence for opposition politician Vladimir Kara-Murza, who is on trial in a closed court on charges including treason, his lawyer has said.
The 41-year-old is one of a small number of prominent opposition figures who stayed in Russia and continued to speak out against Putin after Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022.
Kara-Murza was arrested a year ago, accused of spreading false information about the armed forces and declared a “foreign agent”, a term with connotations of spying that Russian authorities have applied to numerous activists and journalists.
