Ukrainians from all stripes, including both Ukrainian Jews and Ukrainian Muslims, love their country enough to fight the Russian Federation (!) to defend it. I think that says a lot. Ukraine also seems to get along well with the Western Allied nations. They're on good terms with Poland.

I don't know much, but I'm pretty sure Hitler would have absolutely hated Ukraine.

From what I recall they said they had to free their brothers and sisters, who would welcome them with open arms, from the Ukrainian gay Nazi regime led by a Russian speaking married (with a lady) Jewish guy.

But anyway...

What's the reason then for the torture, the large scale murder of civilians (of course incomparable with the 2 million Afghans Russia killed in that war, but still of a ridiculous scale), the kidnappings, the destruction of civilian infrastructure, and last but certainly not least... The annexations? Hmm? Did the tea leaves say they have to do any of that to make sure something bad does not happen to Russia?

Nope... From where I'm sitting they don't have a story. No... They have like 50 stories. Many of which are contradictory. Some are even self-contradictory. None of which I have any reason to believe. Since A: They've blatantly, officially told lies from the start of this conflict. Irrefutable lies. From the tippy top of their government. Publicly. On record. B: I have better things to do than to try and sieve out good bits from the propaganda vomit they've spewed across the world since even before this thing started.

Edit: And of course - Option A (Invasion) was the worse choice. Regardless of what threat they perceived. Where Russia is going, nobody wants to be.
Apparently one of the major reasons for the invasion that does not seem to be widely recognised was to restore the water supply to Crimea. After Russia illegally annexed it the main water supply canal was cutoff by Ukraine and Crimea farming activity was near zero‘d and even household water supply was severely restricted. Russia restored the water flow just a day or two after they invaded.

That would make sense considering Crimea is seen as a jewel in Russia’s crown and without that water supply Crimea is pretty useless and there was no chance that Ukraine would ever willingly restore the water flow. That and the billions of $ that Russia had to pay Ukraine in gas transit fees each year, just those 2 would give a megalomaniac like Putin enough motivation to invade.

Yes and Hitler only wanted a land corridor between Danzing/Gdansk and the Third Reich.

We've had Russia apologists blame the Ukrainians for that here, last year.

Jeez, this account is usually pro-Russian. Drawing attention to Musk showing Russ sympathies seems like a bad thing to do for their PR.

Perhaps he might have done it for business reasons to gain more web traffic via the route of creating outrage to make more engagement on the platform happen? There could be multiple reasons and it might not be primarily a moral reason.

Melon Husk is definitely doing it for the outrage, he has caught some sort of mental disease from Trump.

The Russians continue to kidnap residents of the Luhansk Oblast who are suspected of helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine – they are being taken away to an unknown destination.

Source: Luhansk Oblast Military Administration on Telegram

Quote: "Cases of violent abduction of civilians by Russian invaders keep happening.

In particular, in Starobilsk they conduct searches of the places of residence of citizens suspected of supporting Ukraine, and take people to an unknown destination – without bringing them back."

Details: The invaders also steal Ukrainian property. In particular, in a kindergarten in Chmyrivka, the Russians dismantled and took away a boiler room in parts to an unknown destination.

"However, where cynicism is off the scale, it is in the Popasna district. There, the invaders remove stone monuments from graves in cemeteries, take them to Kadiivka, where they re-polish the inscriptions.

Plates stolen from cemeteries are marked with the names and surnames of the dead invaders because it is more than three times cheaper than ordering a new monument," the Oblast Military Administration wrote.
