This may sound like semantics, but what if your light bulb is affecting the colour of the curtain as well and, in reality, the curtain is actually beige? A bit of yellow and a bit of white? The actual physics would still be valid (for both sides) but that way, even the other side seems to suffer from belief perseverance, propped up by own belief in actual science?

John Pilger - this is a war of propaganda and almost nothing in the western press is to be trusted. I have covered seven, eight, perhaps nine shooting wars. I have never seen coverage so utterly consumed by a tsunami of jingoism, and of manipulative jingoism as this one.

Yeah Pilger, who claimed there was "no evidence" to suggest Russia would invade and called such warnings "raw propaganda by the western press", wants us to believe that nobody except himself can be trusted.

Yet in reality almost everything he says is BS and he is constantly and verifiably wrong while the "western press" is constantly right.

He even admits in interviews that he "doesn't have time" to verify the news and instead dismisses everything he doesn't have time to verify as "propaganda".

The only jingoist here is Pilger himself and at this stage his cherrypicked knowledge of events is based purely on his hatred of the US. Maybe if he went to Ukraine instead of swallowing Russian propaganda whole, he would gain some knowledge and start making sense. Unfortunately it seems he is too old and is loosing his grasp on reality, much like Noam "US censorship is worse than Soviet censorship" Chomsky.

Putin's remarks in that video last about 90 seconds...It's the remaning 11 minutes of the video, where your favorite ex-real realtor talks nonsense, is the part that needs fact-checking.

Shining a green light on a white curtain doesn't change the color of the curtain. Neither does a blue light. The curtain is still white.

No. The color of the curtain is that little ISO color code sticker attached to the packaging wheb you buy it. Candles don't change that. Your perspective on deciding what the color is does not change. ISO standards do not conform to whatever you decide.

Just ask the Putin fans or even Putin himself. They too see the facts as being whatever they decide them to be, filtered through their yellow candle light.
