Real Life Lore has a video out on China's oil supply problem. It is currently surprisingly easy to cut of the bulk of their oil supply by blockading one of two straits. I don't think they will make a move once they have a sufficient alternative supply.
France didn't participate in the Iraq War. They actually spoke out against there being no WMDs..
I think they will financially colonise russia just like they are doing with africa. That is why it is interesting seeing how the russian military has not yet recognized the actual enemy.
