in what universe did Ukraine ever have sufficient reserves to supply Europe?!?

You are aware that:
- the main pipeline from Ukraine to Europe carries mostly Russian gas
- Ukraine couldn't even pay their gas bill to Russia in 2009 for Russian supplied gas (i.e. they don't even have enough to supply themselves)

???

so no, categorically false to claim Ukraine has ample supply for Europe and by extension also false that Russia would invade to prevent them from offering a service that they couldn't offer anyway
So this will be the third time this video is posted. Russia annexed Crimea immediately after Ukraine discovered gas there.

Briton captured in Ukraine told execution will go ahead: BBC

A British man sentenced to death by a court in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic has been told the execution will be carried out, his family told the BBC. Aiden Aslin and Shaun Pinner were sentenced for fighting in Ukraine.

The BBC reports that Aslin’s family said they spoke to him over the phone and he said he was told “time is running out” by his captors. Aslin also reportedly told his family his captors said there had been no attempt by UK officials to negotiate on his behalf.

UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss says she and her Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba have spoken about “efforts to secure the release of prisoners of war held by Russian proxies” and has called the death sentences a “sham judgement with absolutely no legitimacy”.

China’s Xi talks of Russia-Ukraine war as ‘alarm for humanity’

The conflict in Ukraine has “sounded an alarm for humanity”, Chinese leader Xi Jinping has said but gave no indication on how it could be resolved.

Beijing has not condemned Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine and has criticised Western-led sanctions on Russia, even as it has sought to maintain its relationship with Ukraine.

“The Ukraine crisis has again sounded the alarm for humanity. Countries will surely end up in security hardships if they place blind faith in their positions of strength, expand military alliances, and seek their own safety at the expense of others,” Xi said, according to state media.

Xi was speaking at the opening of a virtual business forum ahead of the 14th summit of the BRICS countries – Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.

Not for you it isn't. You, me and average Joe won't see a smitten of any resources. Best go hat in hand to Luthuli House and ask them cadres if they can spare some resources left over from their fancy land and sparkling new mines. See how far you get.

They will thank-you for your vote and give you a nice big pat on the back.
Same for any of the other countries being fought over. None of this is about any resource itself, it's about monopoly on the flow of resources or at least a stability in the flow. If either are threatened some excuse for war and occupation are dreamt up.

When (not if) the ANC falls apart some hero foreign nation will swoop in and occupy SA for some kind of grand sounding reason.... it is inevitable.

You see why Russia and China are stockpiling gold if you saw my video links above and why Russia dropped the fiat system and backs its money by gold and real resources.

Russia’s Lavrov in Iran to discuss nuclear deal, cooperation

Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov arrived in Iran on Wednesday, Iranian state TV reported, as world powers and Tehran struggle to revive their 2015 nuclear pact amid stalled negotiations.

Iranian state TV showed Lavrov meeting Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi but gave no details. The Iranian foreign ministry said on Monday that Lavrov’s visit was aimed at “expanding cooperation with the Eurasian region and the Caucasus”.

Last month, Moscow said Russia and Iran – both under Western sanctions and sitting on some of the world’s largest oil and gas reserves – discussed swapping supplies for oil and gas as well as setting up a logistics hub.

History is on auto repeat sadly. It's depressing to watch sometimes.
Which is another reason why none of the faux outrage in this thread actually matters.... it's just sound and fury signifying nothing.

Best to just analyse and understand, condemnation is useless.

That was never my statement, easier to knocknout Ukraine's smaller more compact grid, than it is to knockout Russia's.
Not so easy as you may think. Before the war, Ukraine's grid was connected to the Russian grid. Shortly after the Russian invasion, Ukrainian disconnected their grid from the Russian grid and connected their grid to the EU one. Obviously this was something that was planned for a long time, the switchover date just happened to occur shortly after the invasion.

What this means, is that when Ukraine loses a power station or transmission line, the slack is taken up by the European grid. This makes it very hard for Russia to instigate a national blackout. They tried though, through unsuccessful hacking attempts.

Someone didnt get the memo, they dont need guns. Unless somehow the buyback includes Himars and other artillery pieces.

This is just a bunch of do gooders possing against the wind.
One can never have enough guns in a war. Even small arms. Besides, the main intention of this initive is really to reduce the guns on the streets of Miami. If the Ukrainians don't want them, then no matter.

Now if Russia did what the muricans do and systematically bombed all infrastructure in the country into the stone age... you might have a point. Thus far though the Russian methods of war have acutally been more humane that the so called spreaders of freedom.... which everyone conveniently forgets.
What do you call this then? Is this humane? Is this Russian kindness?

Military Industrial Complex made it happen to make profits... I thought this was obvious /s
I know Rambo has always been a troll but Nic? At what point did he fall in love with fascism?

Mind you, being against the Kremlin doesn't make one pro-US. I thought I should clear that one seeing that it's a commonly held belief around here.
