Care to explain the Chechnya part? Have noticed a lot of western comments that imply russia invaded a sovereign Chechnya, when its a just really a member of the Russian Federation. Really a seccesion will not be tolerated, looking at the Basques and Catalonians.

Chechnya was a nation in the Northern Caucasus that fought against foreign rule continually since the 15th century. Several Chechen leaders such as the 17th century Mehk-Da Aldaman Gheza led the Chechen politics and fought off encroachments of foreign powers. He defended the borders of Chechnya from invasions of Kabardinians and Avars during the Battle of Khachara in 1667.[25] The Chechens converted over the next few centuries to Sunni Islam, as Islam was associated with resistance to Russian encroachment.[26][27]

....

On 21 December 1917, Ingushetia, Chechnya, and Dagestan declared independence from Russia and formed a single state: "United Mountain Dwellers of the North Caucasus" (also known as the Mountainous Republic of the Northern Caucasus) which was recognized by major world powers. The capital of the new state was moved to Temir-Khan-Shura (Dagestan).[34][35] Tapa Tchermoeff, a prominent Chechen statesman, was elected the first prime minister of the state. The second prime minister elected was Vassan-Girey Dzhabagiev, an Ingush statesman, who also was the author of the constitution of the republic in 1917, and in 1920 he was re-elected for the third term. In 1921 the Russians attacked and occupied the country and forcefully absorbed it into the Soviet state. The Caucasian war for independence restarted, and the government went into exile.[36]

Prior to conquest by Russia the Chechens had fought for independence too and had fought off the Russians.

Read the Wiki article.

Russia committed atrocities in Chechnya as the Russian Federation, not even the USSR.

Preliminary reports indicate that a representative of the so-called oblast administration of Russian-occupied Kherson was killed when his car exploded.

Source: Kremlin-aligned Russian news outlets RIA Novosti, TASS and RT; Ukrainska Pravda sources; Ukrainian journalist Denys Kazanskyi on Telegram

Details: Russian media have reported that a car exploded in Kherson on the morning of 24 June.

According to Ukrainska Pravda, the car belonged to a local collaborator, Dmytro Savluchenko, who was an official of the Nova Rus youth organisation and head of the pro-Russian administrations family, youth, and sport department. According to preliminary reports, the person in the car was killed.

Russian media are also reporting that Savluchenko died in what is believed to be an assassination attempt.

Ukrainian journalist Denys Kazanskyi also reported Savluchenko's death, posting a photo of the scene.

According to Kazanskyi, Savluchenko was a member of the party led by Viktor Medvedchuk, who has been accused of state treason, and openly engaged in anti-Ukrainian activities in Kherson for many years.

The journalist suggested that the collaborator could have been killed by Ukrainian special services, but said that the possibility of criminal dealings could not be ruled out.

According to Kazanskyi, right now there is "a crazy carve-up of looted goods in the occupied territories – various groups are fighting over the export of stolen grain, inventing various 'yellow passes' to tax farmers, looting seized factories."

Background
:

On 22 June, Russian media reported that a car belonging to Yurii Turulov – a former head of the local bus station, protégé of the occupiers in Chornobaivka, and serving as the [occupiers’ – ed.] "Head of the Oblast Military Administration" – had been blown up. It was reported that Turulov had sustained minor injuries.

On the same day, Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry's main intelligence directorate, confirmed that a car belonging to Oleksii Kovalyov, a member of parliament and collaborator, had been blown up in Kherson Oblast. The collaborator’s condition was not known at the time.

Occupying "administration" member killed: Dmytro Savluchenko, head of the Russian-backed regional administration’s Family, Youth, and Sports department in Ukraine's Kherson region, was killed when a car exploded on Friday. According to Ukrainian journalist Denis Kazansky, it’s unclear whether the explosion was the work of Ukrainian intelligence or of local criminal groups. Various parties are currently vying for control of stolen goods, such as grain, in the Russian-occupied region, and looters are wont to attribute murders and explosions to Ukrainian special forces, Kazansky said.

A win for Russia’s toddlers: The Russian Union of Juice Producers has asked the government to increase the maximum package size allowed for juice products intended for children under three years old from 0.2 liters to 0.5 liters, Kommersant reported. According to the outlet's sources, the increase will allow manufacturers to save packaging, which has become more difficult to obtain due to sanctions. 80 percent of the material used to manufacture the standard 0.2-liter packages currently used for children’s juice boxes in Russia is imported.

But... but.... but...

Sanctions are useless, hurting the west while Ruϟϟia soars to the clouds?

Little Big releases first video of 2022: The Russian band Little Big released a new music video on Friday (its first of the year), titled “Generation Cancelation.” Band members are calling it their “antiwar manifesto.” In a press release shared with Meduza, Little Big said the song “criticizes the war, propaganda, and politics […] through a selection of visuals filled with references and Easter eggs to the current geopolitical situation.” On social media, band members have said, “We adore our country, but we completely object to the war with Ukraine, and we believe that any war is wrong.” The band is now based in Los Angeles.

Not to become a Russian satellite or puppet state.
The countries on eastern Europe cannot wish away the geography of Russia, they need to come to peace with it.
The alliance is not hostile to Russia. NATO is not going to attack Russia unless Russia attacks first.
erm yes it is, it's leaders have been calling openly for regime changes in Russia. If NATO has been expanding, who is it expanding against?

Yes because of the USSR.
The Rooitgevaar in SA was also completely overblown, communism was a convenient excuse.
They're certainly celebrating now that they're getting their EU candidacy.
They are only getting candidate status. Being in the EU is the mother of asterixis and membership
They want peace and a better life. For example better longetivity the way Europe has better longetivity than Russia.
It depends on the country and region.
I just point out your faulty logic. Learn from it and improve yourself.
I am all for improvement, but you first need to know a bit of Latin before you throw around the high school fallacy list.

No Russia needs to deal with a new reality. Remember Russia was a tiny state in the past and paid tribute to Cracow. What you say is just arbitrary stuff. Russia is a state which can collapse very easily and then it's just the Muscovite kingdom and many other states.

erm yes it is, it's leaders have been calling openly for regime changes in Russia. If NATO has been expanding, who is it expanding against?

NATO expansion is your terminology. NATO is an alliance of volunteers, a club. It's not expanding against anybody.

The Rooitgevaar in SA was also completely overblown, communism was a convenient excuse.

I grew up under real Communism. Your grew up under "Rooigevaar" and so you have hangups associated with it.

OK, no you are so ignorant. The US helped the Nats for a while until the USSR collapsed. Once USSR collapsed and its was clear Russian imperialism would not make its way to the strategic region down here, US sanctions became more real.

They are only getting candidate status. Being in the EU is the mother of asterixis and membership

1st step.

It depends on the country and region.

It depends on many factors, but these are usually more favourable in the EU vs Russia.

I am all for improvement, but you first need to know a bit of Latin before you throw around the high school fallacy list.

It would help if you did not continue to make fallacies.

Look I'm shredding all the things you say.

Pro-Russian Forces Close to Encircling Key Ukrainian City: Separatists

Pro-Russian separatists in Ukraine claimed Wednesday they were close to surrounding Ukrainian forces defending the twin cities of Lysychansk and Severodonetsk, the site of fierce weeks-long fighting.

An officer in the separatist army of Lugansk — a pro-Russian breakaway region in eastern Ukraine — said their forces surrounded Ukrainian troops in the villages of Hirsk and Zolote, a day after capturing the neighboring village of Toshkivka.

The three settlements are located a few kilometers outside Severodonetsk and Lysychansk, which Moscow’s forces have been trying to seize for weeks.

“Very soon (Ukrainian) groups in Lysychansk and Severodonetsk will also be surrounded,” Andrei Marochko told Russian state TV.
