Nico, in my earlier days, nobody would have predicted the collapse of the USSR. We all thought it would last well past our own lifetimes. Then it sh-t itself and collapsed.

Eastern European countries into NATO. They said it couldn't be done. It was done.

I could give many examples.

Situations were far more dire in the past.

Europe was mostly controlled by the central powers. Where are they now? Only one remains but it's not able to defeat an ex-province. It has to rely on nuclear weapons as a means of securing itself, because conventionally it would not stand much of a chance.

(Hitler if he wasn't a Nazi but treated the Slavic (and Jewish) people with dignity would have defeated the Reds, but then he wouldn't have been Hitler. People would have come en masse to his side if he didn't murder millions. And without American aid, USSR would have collapsed and would have been no more).

History is full of surprises. Based on that I don't think it's rational to claim people should be at peace with a Russia which wants to pretend its the USSR while the West had no advantages.

This tells me that you are just religiously supporting Russia. That's your dogma. I suspect that if you really are from SA, you have a "Rooi Gevaar" hangup and you also hate America for some reason.

Moldovan authorities have banned Russian news to fight disinformation.
Moldovan President Maia Sandu responded to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who accused the Moldovan authorities of "banning everything Russian," reports NewsMaker.
"This bill is a sovereign decision of our country's parliament and office of the president. We needed the bill to fight disinformation. We are fighting it and will continue to do so to provide an objective information space. So that citizens can analyze the facts based on "objective information, not propaganda and unreliable sources," the president said.
Lavrov had previously complained that the Moldovan authorities tried to "ban everything Russian," following Ukraine's example.
A few days ago, Lavrov said "they" were allegedly trying to turn Moldova into a "second Ukraine." He said the majority of Moldova's population was against the country's EU accession and added the country was "playing a roleф."
In response, the EU Ambassador to Moldova claims the European Union seeks to support Moldova in its efforts to become even better.

Russian NKVD? (No different to Einsatzgruppen)

USSR murdered more people than the Nazis.

Point is lost on Nico in that looking at tactical withdrawals and day to day tactics does not tell you what the outcome will be.

Nico: I'll ignore RONA/Kaminski/Muravyov/Vlasov and just focus on those Ukrainians who sided with the Germans, even though my own adopted Frenchmen also sided with Nazi Germans via Vichy. :)

This is cherry picking and special pleading from Nico, who continues to use fallacies.

What's telling is that if we look at the Nazi SS Russian collaborators MANY were WHITE RUSSIANS or RUSSIAN NATIONALISTS, i.e. not even Communists so the same ideology in charge at RF today.
