The occupiers have burned all the books from the library of the church of Petro Mohyla in Mariupol.
Source: Petro Andriushchenko, advisor to the Mayor of Mariupol
Quote from Andriushchenko: "In the Church of Petro Mohyla, Ukrainian Orthodox Church, at the suggestion and with the assistance of Russian Orthodox Church priests in Mariupol, the entire extensive library, collected by volunteers and benefactors, was confiscated and burned in the Church courtyard."
Details: It is reported that the library contained several unique copies of Ukrainian-language publications, which are now lost forever.
The Church of Petro Mohyla was built with the support of the local residents and entered in the Book of Records of Ukraine as containing the largest Petrykivka painting.
- The Russians, accompanied by security, brought a delegation of the Moscow Patriarchate to the city. The Russian Orthodox Church instructed the collaborators to resume the work of the temples and pray for the Russian military.
- According to Andriushchenko, the occupiers are now deciding whether to demolish the Petro Mohyla church or reformat it according to the canons of the Russian Orthodox Church.
But the Orthodox Church burning Orthodox books .. they must have zero self respect...a leaf out of the Nazi handbook.
They're filtering Ukrainian literature and culture out of the Orthodox church. But the Orthodox Church burning Orthodox books .. they must have zero self respect
Hate to say it but Ukraine did provoke cultural and language reforms 3 years ago. We cannot turn a blind eye to things like this while still opposing BEE laws and the ANC's continued discrimination against the Afrikaans language.

The Zbots will be along shortly to:![]()
A- Justify this
B- Say these were Ukrainian missiles
C- Say this was photshopped
D- Say this was a false flag operation
E- Say the little girl was asking for this because Ukraine refuses to surrender
It was more personal.Hate to say it but Ukraine did provoke cultural and language reforms 3 years ago. We cannot turn a blind eye to things like this while still opposing BEE laws and the ANC's continued discrimination against the Afrikaans language. The whole stance of both sides just smacks of hypocrisy and double standards and has only gotten worse.

It's different in the sense that Afrikaans is an official language in the country and there's no law mandating anyone to limit its use. Any decision by the ANC to suppress the language can easily be challenged in court. The law, which obliges all citizens to know the Ukrainian language and makes it a mandatory requirement for civil servants, soldiers, doctors, and teachers, was championed by outgoing President Petro Poroshenko.
He is expected to sign it into law before he leaves office in coming weeks after losing re-election on Sunday to Volodymyr Zelenskiy, an actor who mainly speaks Russian in public.
Indeed, original post updated with some additional fabrications.F- Say she is a Nazi

To an outside observer our BEE and language discrimination makes perfect sense and is justified or they would say, we should "be nuanced before judging anything" or "it's propably not a big deal" . To those in SA the reality of it doesn't get diminished no matter how you reword, rephrase or dance around it with philosophical tambourines.
Just saying.

Well what's done is done. They are at war now so none of it really matters anymore. Now the bullets and bombs will decide.
