Hey all,

We have finally deployed our own Rust server in South Africa after much deliberation. You are more than welcome to join and have a blast with us.

Server, TS and Facebook details:

Server IP: net.connect 105.227.0.3:29215 (Press F1 after launching Rust and type that into the console, or find the server in the server browser "PlayRust ZA")
TS IP: 41.185.60.15

Current mods we have installed but not limited too

*Door sharing
*Group chat
*Private message
*Death message
*Location with waypoints
*Admin Ticketing system

The Admins will be very strict on this server, if you join to troll then don’t even bother connecting – you will be banned.

We want to keep this server as friendly and as enjoyable for everyone who joins.

The Server is up!! Multiplay messed with my server files, so i needed to re-setup the whole thing, but don't worry everything is still there :)

Also have some new plugins installed we will test, /time - Check your time, and Base Alarm, if someone attacks your base it will alert you, we can remove this if anyone think there is a problem, but lets test it :)

For now login and lets play!

If you see macmuffin, murder him. The chop C4'ed our town when we were out gathering supplies, then proceeded to murder everything he saw from a distance with his m4 for half an hour. Eventually, all 6 of us ran at him with hatchets until he ran out of ammo.

On a side note, WHY IS EVERYONE SO AGGRESSIVE AT RAD TOWN AND BIG CIV?!?!

Jeeez. I walk upo behind someone and say "hi, sup?" and get shot gunned in the face :wtf: Quite unnecessary :(

Dammit, someone broke into my mansion and replaced all the doors with theirs, so effectively lost my house. I guess this is what "land re-distribution" feels like. It's way too easy seemingly to do this though.

New Feature Added: Ownership Remover, you can now use a pick axe to remove a misplaced object, equip a pick axe and then hit something you own once then it will warn you first, hitting it again will remove it.

NB: It can only be done from the person who builded the structure.

For all commands just make sure to type: /help

I just discovered the hard way. You can get killed when logged off ... :(

hey guys, thanks for the SA server, really enjoying the game but i just wanted to double check something. when you log out all the stuff in your inventory disappears. I am not sure if this a server setting/issue or a game setting/issue?

You probably log off in the open and then people find your body and kill you and take your loot, make sure you logout in your house behind closed doors to lower the risk :D

Yea, logout in this game means your physical body goes to sleep right there. Other players will see your body and can proceed to abuse your sleeping body any way they see fit :). Basically if you log in and you're not located where you originally logged off with no gear, then there's a good chance you got killed while offline.

You lose all your items on you when you die. You can prevent this by storing items in boxes/containers , although the risk there is, anyone can open those containers, so it better be behind locked doors or very obscure place.

So far the server has had 58 players online tonight with no lag we could notice after the reboot tonight :)

Also on the other side we gonna bring in the following, helping with people who misplace structures and allow you to build even more cooler structures, and you can see who owns a structure.. for more info watch this video.
