from mid month ADSL becomes almost unusable

problem continues every day and steadily gets worse

Running a speedtest to SAIX Rosebank gives me te following values:

Ping 351ms
Download Speed 0.14Mbps
Upload Speed 0.23Mbps

I have been fighting with telkom about this for more than a year now. The only answer they can give met is that the exchange is overcongested, and is scheduled for an upgrade. Problem is that no one can tell me when. The one technician even told me that the Rynfield exchange has been on the schedule for over 2 year now, and nothing has been done, not a date or ETA confirmed.

This is very frustrating - I keep on logging faults with Telkom every second day..... wish they do something about Rynfield exchange now!!!!!!

Yeah this is unacceptable, I am in the process of escalating, but doubt that this will be resolved anytime soon.

Maybe when it comes time to pay my Telkom bill, I should tell them I have congestion on my bank account and cannot provide them with the full amount as promised, but I am working on an upgrade plan but not sure when the issue will be resolved :mad:

Well for now I will call them everyday until this is resolved.
