The P40 Pro also gives great battery life, see screengrab. One can easily get to 10 hours SoT over 2 days. The impressive battery life due in part to the lack of Google Mobile Services and Play Services not sucking battery and data incessantly in the background.

The lack of Google apps is not a major issue either, if you use GMail then its easy to add your GMail account to the inbuilt email client or any other email client.

Huawei's Petal Maps is a great alternative to Google Maps, and the Huawei App Store has most apps available now. And if you use Chrome as your browser the Huawei Browser is nice but I use Bromite, think of it as Chrome with all the tracking and ad stuff removed.
