It’s been well known that all people ( all colours) with an good education are looking for opportunities elsewhere.
The economy just made it worse.
When you are young and your parents are still working and healthy it’s easy to go.

Many people will however not go because of family that needs care.
Let’s call it ‘black tax’. We all have it, its not limited to one skin colour.

I remember all those promises, washing machines, houses. Personally I was one of those thinking "What idiot will believe it?"

Obviously idiots that a government or two deprive of an education.

Where do you get 8 A's if your school offers no kore than 7 subjects?
Well, in the school I was you could take up to 10 subjects, and for each A you got in your final exams the school paid you R500. R500 in 1997 was quite a lot for a student.

My Afrikaans teacher still owes me R100, it was R200 for an A and R100 for a B, he probably thought no one would manage any of that because the guy was as broke as a kerkmuis and there was no way he was going to part with the money.

I am also guilty of passing sub standard black professionals under pressure of qutoa laws. It's one of the reasons I left the DoH. There really isn't any point lying to you anonymously on the internet

You should have never done that. Your professional ethics are important. It is a good thing you left.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

My white colleague was forced to pass sub-white professionals under pressure and he refused. He asked me to intervene as a moderator and I stopped it right there to protect the integrity of my industry.

Care to show on the normal distribution curve (Seeing you claim a university education), where the number of corrupt whites sit compared to the number of corrupt blacks? And why was Agrizzi the only person charged at the Zondo commission?
Well i don’t have calculations of the corruption figures. I know enough cases from all races to conclude that it’s not a racial thing but a human greed thing.

Agrizzi is the only one who confessed.

I’m pretty sure if the country was run by Marcus Steinhof executes, Bosasa executes , KPMG executives etc it would still be a corrupt country.

Just like it was corrupt under apartheid government with government sunctioned killings, persecution of 80% of the population etc.

So my stance is all races can be and have corrupt people in them. If you think otherwise please post corruption figures that support the discrepancy you want to portray because it’s your claim not mine

When I went to university it was fair game and yes I have worked with black professionals that have been superior to me in practice and learnt from them. You really seem to be missing the point.

The point is interns I used to train are like chalk and cheese (I'm talking couple of years ago). Your black students now have like 2 As 3 As and enter medical school/ school of pharmacy. The other races all have 6 plus As in matric. Now before you say school means nothing its a gauging criteria whether its effective or not is another story but that's the criteria applied to universities.

There are a lot of black interns passing simply because the consultants/tutors don't want to be labeled racist or have to deal with that rubbish. Its easier to just let them pass (FYI you don't get paid extra to tutor). At the end of the day if it gets you fired for racism you are screwed in this country and your career is finished. NOBODY is going to take that risk and guess what its going to look that way because these courses will not be difficult for someone who has 8 As and they will breeze through it. Whereas someone with 2 As is going struggle. Then when you look at it on paper "oh no you failing all the blacks therefore you must be racist" even though you only trained 1 white 1 coloured and 1 indian and 5 blacks and 2 black students failed. How you think that looks on paper ? especially with the current behavior of everything is racist until I get my way. Look what happened to the director of the HPCSA who want trying to maintain standards over quota. She "stepped" down

As I've said before you want the professional/academic respect. Earn it. Level the playing field then we wont have these debates. If you really care about empowering black people don't shortchange their education and give yourself a pat on the back. The correct way to do BEE would be to provide funding for disadvantaged blacks so they can get quality education NOT pass 100s of useless students simply because they black.

If you think this type of stuff doesnt occur then you dreaming.

And yes some used to work with me because of BEE and AA. You know how I know I sat on interview panels and how the HR manager just deletes the selections and gives you a quota directive. Applicant must be Black male or black female. Dont belive me go search the job listings for the state its printed in bold on the adverts. You know what the best part the competent black professionals HATE the quota boys and so do the foreigners. Ask yourself why people prefer hiring foreigners these days ?

So please do not for a second act as if BEE is doing anyone any favours or its some valiant policy or that I am the only one seeing this rubbish. Though I think you are smart enough to understand where my post is coming from or you think our education standards are stellar and our economy is totally flourishing under these policies.
Great so how did you come to the condescending conclusion that those who want to emigrate are not the same blacks who kicked your ass in varsity or mentored you at work?

I can tell you that I’m still supervising interns now . Atleast until I complete my specialist exams and there are shitty professionals from all races.

About your Matric figures well I can’t argue with that but as it stands blacks in medical schools don’t make 40% of the professionals but the make the absolute majority of those working in rural areas where some races are too good to work in. Same applies to teachers, nurses etc. The one about As is funny because some of those 3 As kicked your ass in varsity so why do you still think your As in grade 12 biology triumphs your hypothetical weaker score in varsity ?
