Rubbish. My old high school had a policy that if you fail twice they chase you out. Hasn’t changed since then. Why do you make stuff up in your head and end up believing them? There are people who repeat one grade until they quit.

Go ask a government teacher. I was referring to primary school since I was talking about reading and writing something you don't learn in high school or maybe you did.

Excellent perception bruh. Guess I have to dumb down and explain everything in full to people of your intellectual capacity :p

It’s not applied evenly because the maximum benefit goes to black females. Black by AA rules include Africans, Indians and coloureds.

As for if you are serving your bursary? Dude you are embarrassing yourself. you serve your bursary for the time they paid for you excluding internship. Basically majority of doctors above 35 yrs are not serving anymore.

As for modern achievements, why do you think people must achieve something but not you? Are you inadequate?

You really can't read lol

Condonation is allowed in the lower grades, provided you meet certain requirements.

Yes I'm aware of that. Most of the time the teachers make it so to get them out of their classrooms because guess what they fed up too

@RiaX maybe let’s not go around in circles and come to an understanding
According to AA, an Indian girl gets preference over a black boy. Now to my understanding you should trust the one who got more preferential treatment than the other going by your logic right?

Is it the case though? Do you trust a female Indian professional less than a black male professional? If not why?

Are you seriously trying to split hairs about obviously racist policies and laws based on skin colour are wrong, amoral and unprincipled right? It reminds me of the Nats when there were amusing (for some) discussions around Chinese and maybe some other people who weren't clear cut white or black (Coloured and Indian - all apartheid classifications lol). Some Chinese (from recollection) became "honorary whites" but not quite white (maybe a bit like Coloureds and Indians now).

Taking the title at face value shows to me that whites and blacks actually in reality (not with SA's racist blinkers on) think pretty much the same. SA ain't looking too bright, elsewhere looks better. As do some from the EC heading for CT and maybe Jhb. I think voting for someone with a better track record at governance that the corrupt and incompetent ANC is worth a try but that is just me.

The sad thing is, is that these are the Blacks with brains and probably more ethics that don't vote anc. Hence the people against the evil anc are leaving and it just strengthens the anc's chances and seats in elections.

No that's not how it works. There have been amendments to the policy.

There is a cap to the amount of places allowed. On paper majority must be black. And the organisation must represent the demographic of the country.

So if there are 10 spots for staffing. 7 of those spots must be for black. The other 3 the other races. Provided the department is already represented by BEE.

So if there are a majority of female Indians already in the unit then no female Indian will get a place. So even if they are shortlisted and out perform their black counter parts they will not get the job and the black applicants will qualify. If no black applicants are successful then the posts are frozen and readvertised until a candidate is successful. Sometimes they even fail the interview and they are given the job simply because they satisfy the quota directive. This process will continue until the unit has satisfied its quota directive.

You clearly have never been involved in these processes.

So the next question why should a white child of 17 years of age be put in such a situation? It's not their fault yet they must fight now for a limited amount of spaces for everything from university to internships to com serv to job hunting to specializing. Really now. All you have achieved is to successfully opress that poor kid. You also probably brainwashed into thinking the kid has billions of rand in WMC and there are no such thing as middle-class or poor whites. Why should anyone have their dreams or ambitions oppressed because of their skin colour ?

How? Scripts aren't burnt down until schools reopen. Also, there are rules on how condonation is done. Then there's issue of external moderation for certain subjects (not sure if this is still the case).

But tell me, would such a person do well enough to get a university admission?

Target poorer communities to invest in and help enrich/empower them, and if by some small miniscule random chance not based on history at all that those communities happen to be more of one race or another, you're doing BEE/AA anyway without being a racist.

Who woulda thunk it :/

In broad terms yes, you're empowering a group of people.

However, BBBEE and other AA laws such as EE are specific.

Weird way to spell racist.
EE laws allow for preference to be given to designated groups. Designated groups by definition are Black people (black African, Indians and Coloured), people with disabilities (of all colours, genders, etc) as well as women (of all colours, etc).

BBBEE perhaps is the one that may fall into that category. I'm not familiar with the finer details.

It's weird that the previously disadvantaged are currently disadvantaged too after 28 years.

So we don't care whether an individual is more in need of support. We just care what race or sex they are.

Big brain stuff.

The laws were meant to prop up previously disadvantaged people. However, politicians always find non-creative ways to exploit them to their advantage.

You did say you look at them sideways because you suspect they are not where they are on merit, if that's the prevailing view amongst other people who are in a position to offer opportunities for them then it's not a surprise that they are still disadvantaged.
